The Advent of Conquest was a significant worldwide event in Invincible, which resulted in a climactic battle between Invincible and the second most powerful Viltrumite, Conquest. This was one of the two events, that signified the genesis of the Viltrumite War, the climactic event between the Coalition of Planets and the Viltrum Empire.
Heralding The Titan[]
Anissa heeds Mark of Conquest.
In late 2023, Anissa was sent to ensure Invincible's allegiance to the Viltrum Empire. She failed, resulting in a warning: Conquest, the second strongest Viltrumite warrior, will come soon to see the spawn of Nolan obliged to the Empire; if not, then the world will pay the price and be reduced to ashes.
Preparing for the worst[]
Invincible trains with the G.D.A. to become stronger.
For the next 3 months, Invincible has been giving the most intense training since actually training with Nolan. In order to further augment his powers, strength and capability. Facing against the Giant, lifting the largest objects on Earth, and flying from the moon to the earth in a half a minute. Donald finally deduces that his power level has increased, flight, strength, endurance and stamina, but Cecil still wonders if it will still be enough to defeat Anissa, or her other "compatriot", who was said to be far worse.
However, during a fallout and a worldwide event months afterwards, the preparation for Conquest had resulted in the heroes of Earth, especially Invincible, be unprepared for this outcome.

Anissa's words come to light, as Invincible faces against a threat far worse than Nolan.
In early 2024, several months after Anissa's reconnaissance, in the aftermath of the Invincible War, Conquest made his presence known to Invincible to confirm his allegiance and officially pass judgment on both him and the entire planet's population. Conquest (in a unserious matter) felt earth was totally unprepared for the empire's arrival. Instead Invincible, still traumatized and engulfed in rage from the numerous losses he just faced, ironically shows appreciation for his arrival as he longed to strike something hard. Conquest joyfully responds to his challenge by engaging the young Viltrumite hybrid in a cataclysmic battle across the devastated city.
The Clash[]
Invincible and Conquest collide; their impact generates a huge shockwave that propels civilians and military personnel into the air. Invincible and Conquest fight fiercely, with Conquest pushing back, landing a headbutt on Invincible, seizing the young hero by the neck, and then forcefully slamming him into the earth, forming a large crater. While Invincible is on the ground, Conquest refers to his ally Anissa, indicating that he is aware she would be explaining how the Viltrum Empire plans to transform Planet Earth into a paradise. How foolish he would be to resist. However, in contrast to her, Conquest would never reveal that; he communicates his desire for Invincible to fight back, making it clear that he isn’t present to rescue him or to promote the glory of the Viltrum Empire. He's present due to his enjoyment, as nothing compares to the pleasure of feeling the heat of his own fist soaked in Invincible's blood. Invincible unexpectedly executes a covert sneak attack, launching Conquest directly into the sky. Conquest swiftly regains composure, praising Invincible for that strike. Invincible subsequently wrestles Conquest, hurling the former Viltrumite through multiple structures. Even with the devastation inflicted, it hardly impacts Conquest as he rises, lifting Invincible from the debris and seizing him by the neck, choking him while declaring his desire for more. Invincible subsequently strikes his arm and impacts Conquest's ears with his fist, just like he did with his Mohawk Variant, before pushing him away with a kick. Conquest mocks Mark while praising him for the assault. Invincible coldly informs him that it's merely a warm-up before he takes off, then starts to batter Conquest, bringing the battle into Earth's atmosphere. Even while bleeding from the strikes dealt by Invincible, Conquest reacts by forming a sphere from his own blood, letting the emptiness of space gradually freeze the sphere until he uses his fingers to mold it into a heart shape. Conquest subsequently crushes his small trinket of a love declaration before he collides with Invincible, pulling him back down to Earth. Invincible strikes Conquest twice before thrusting a knee directly into Conquest's abdomen. Conquest, flinching in agony, provides Invincible an opportunity to break free from the Viltrumite's hold. While soaring through the sky, Invincible questions Conquest if he still believes this battle is in his favor, to which Conquest replies affirmatively, then throws a punch so powerful that it breaks one of Invincible's lenses.

The news reports that Invincible has collided with a structure, observed by Oliver, Debbie, and Paul. Becoming aware that his brother is nearby, Oliver hurries to put on his Kid Omni-Man outfit, while Debbie advises him to stay away and avoid being caught by Conquest. If it’s overly risky, he ought to leave before she bestows a kiss on his forehead for luck. As Oliver departs, Paul attempts to reassure Debbie by mentioning that her sons have endured comparable situations, but Debbie responds by stating that this experience is unlike anything they have encountered before.
Conquest's immense speed and unexpected attack on Invincible causes a big shockwave that implodes a city!
Invincible is on the ground, recovering from the assault. The blow he took earlier left him with a huge black eye on the right side of his face. He turns over and starts to cough up blood. The earth trembles, and Invincible glances upwards, discovering Conquest diving down, crashing into him with such force that the collision flattens the whole city. Kid Omni-Man watches in terror as he quickly flies away, seeing Invincible being hurled into the sky.

Kid Omni-Man finds it difficult to keep pace as Invincible soars through the air, being battered by Conquest. Invincible is propelled through multiple structures before smashing into an oil truck, which detonates upon impact. Invincible battles to regain strength as Conquest approaches. Invincible raises his hand, gesturing for Conquest to halt.

Conquest halts, and Invincible attempts to urge him to pay attention, but Conquest seizes him by the neck, questioning if he has lost his mind. Conquest then mentions that he does not wish to offer Mark an opportunity to yield while he is enjoying himself. He encourages Invincible to stay strong, stating that he only requires the proper motivation before directing his attention to a crowd of civilians. Invincible tries to seize Conquest's face, but Conquest dismisses it with laughter, warning Mark that after he's finished with him, he'll eliminate everyone else. Just then, Kid Omni-Man shows up, striking Conquest forcefully in the face. Kid Omni-Man soars ahead with confidence, eager to deliver a beating to Conquest, but instead finds himself on the receiving end of a powerful downward slap from Conquest.
Despite Kid-Omni-Man's assistance, Invincible is barely able withstand Conquest.
Conquest seizes Kid Omni-Man by the leg, fascinated by the existence of the young child. He inquires about his name, curious about the identity of the person he is dismembering. At that instant, Invincible strikes Conquest on the cheek with a kick, causing him to roll across the street. Both Invincible and Kid Omni-Man rise, their faces marked by the bruises from the strikes dealt by Conquest. Conquest approaches the duo, and Invincible tells Kid Omni-Man to leave, but the boy insists that they can defeat Conquest. The elderly Viltrumite started to dash toward them, and Invincible hurled Kid Omni-Man aside just in time to rescue his brother from a hold. As Conquest hurled Invincible through multiple structures, he noted that the time he could have spent eliminating Kid Omni-Man would have allowed Invincible to collect his thoughts and maybe even outsmart him. Conquest tossed Invincible across the room, and he yelled that he wouldn't accept Invincible had a Viltrumite heart unless it was proven. Conquest yelled at Invincible to showcase his strength, and Invincible reacted by landing a headbutt that caused bleeding. In spite of the pain, Conquest smiled, merely stating that Mark was "almost there."
Boiling Point[]
Invincible then leaps in, striking Conquest over and over, striving to inflict maximum damage while denying his opponent any chance to recuperate. Nevertheless, the young hero quickly starts to feel weary. As he regains his breath, he throws a punch that Conquest easily catches. Conquest rises, growling that if this is all Invincible can offer, then things won't turn out well for him.
At the Pentagon in the United States, Cecil experiences stress as the world is just starting to heal from the Invincible War, and now they must confront a Viltrumite even more powerful than Invincible. He investigates D.A. Sinclair, who is employing the bodies of the deceased Invincible variants to manufacture ReAnimen, which are still unfinished, as the invulnerable skin of the Invincibles is too thick to be sliced.
At the hospital, Adam and Betsy view the news, showcasing Invincible's battle against Conquest. At that instant, Eve awakens, and Betsy remains beside Eve as Adam hurriedly goes to find a nurse. Eve then inquires about the duration of her unconsciousness, and Adam replies that she has been out for a week. Eve then notices the television and understands that Mark is in peril. She puts on her Atom Eve outfit, resolute in her desire to aid her boyfriend even though she hasn't completely healed from her injuries.
In the midst of the battle, Conquest reveals to Invincible that up to this point, he has been toying with him, handling him like a fresh plaything. Conquest throws Invincible into yet another building before forcing him into the ground. Even while enjoying himself, Conquest starts to wonder why the Viltrumites chose to send him to Earth, since defeating Invincible and taking over Earth appears to be rather simple. Conquest then hurls Invincible into the air, following him as he comments that this is enjoyable and simple before bringing both legs down onto Invincible, scraping him along the concrete road as he collides with a bus. Conquest looms over the wounded Invincible, explaining that he was familiar with Nolan during his youth, demonstrating great potential, but he's gone, executed prior to his departure. He mentions it's unfortunate that he lost the opportunity to witness Nolan's reaction when he reveals he has killed his son. Before Conquest can take down Invincible, Kid Omni-Man sends him soaring with a kick, referring to him as an old sack of crap. Conquest brushes it aside as Kid Omni-Man assists Invincible in getting up, urging him to move quickly. Invincible informs Kid Omni-Man that Conquest will eliminate him and advises him to escape, but the young hero insists they can defeat him as a team, assuming Conquest is feeble simply due to his age. Conquest informs Oliver that his age isn't his flaw, but he expresses gratitude to the boy for returning, planning to tear him apart and consume his heart.

Before Kid Omni-Man can respond, Invincible shoves him aside, yelling at Conquest to stay away from him. Conquest straightforwardly swats Invincible aside, instructing him to rest while he handles his younger brother by himself. Conquest then hits Oliver so forcefully that the boy starts to spit out a considerable amount of blood while losing several teeth. Conquest grabs Kid Omni-Man by the head and legs, yanking the boy as he plans to tear him apart. Fortunately for Oliver, Mark is able to recover and saves his brother by crashing into Conquest. Conquest chuckles, pleased that Invincible has bounced back so swiftly. However, he stops mid-air, choosing to consume Invincible's heart instead. He delivers a blow that makes glass break around them, but Invincible counters by striking Conquest down. Kid Omni-Man spits out blood before losing consciousness from his injuries. Cecil and a team of G.D.A. doctors come to extract Oliver from the combat zone, where he observes Invincible's fight against Conquest. Donald informs Cecil that Atom Eve has regained consciousness and wishes to see him, planning to participate in the battle notwithstanding Conquest being a Viltrumite, which Cecil understands is significantly more powerful than Omni-Man and Anissa. Cecil urges her not to force him into this, but she snaps back that he has no option.

Conquest chased after Invincible as he rolled across the ocean, seizing him and pulling him underwater while he shouted that he didn’t want Invincible to miss this. Invincible could only observe as Conquest then carried him over a group of beachgoers, transforming the individuals into a spray of blood and guts before crashing him through the city. Conquest lofted Invincible into the air while the hero regained his composure and struck him back down. At that instant, a pink barrier appeared, making Conquest collide with it. Invincible could only observe in dread as he understood that Eve had entered the battle. Atom Eve instructed Conquest to leave Invincible alone, and he complied, planning to eliminate her. Atom Eve attempted to battle Conquest, but Invincible intervened, urging her to escape just as Conquest thrust his hand backward, shattering Invincible's thigh. Invincible shouted in anguish as he descended from the sky, while Conquest mocked Mark for being weak over his worry for others' well-being. Eve formed a bubble around Conquest to limit him while she descended to help her boyfriend, but Conquest effortlessly shattered the barrier, knocking her away. Invincible was limited to observing from the sidelines while Conquest battled Atom Eve, who fashioned a set of armor from the broken pieces of her shield. Conquest commented that it was adorable and dashed in, only to realize he was immobilized mid-air.

Atom Eve clarified that she utilized her matter manipulation to enhance the air's density before forming a spiked mallet construct that propelled Conquest backward. She made another one and clicked Conquest once more. She made another, but Conquest easily halted the creation with his hand. Conquest swiftly obliterates the structure with a single punch and remarks that he can hear her breathing heavily, questioning how long she can maintain this effort. Atom Eve keeps making additional shields that Conquest easily dismantles. Atom Eve comments that she is becoming weary of his foolishness before using the broken constructs to form a bubble around Conquest's head. While the Viltrumite fights to escape, Atom Eve conjures two spiked spheres and hurls them at him. She then continues to form additional constructs, striking Conquest mid-flight. While Conquest is about to strike another construct, Atom Eve employs her matter manipulation to change it into water, surprising the veteran Viltrumite as she forms a massive spear and hurls it at him. Conquest, on the other hand, effortlessly breaks it with his gauntlet. Atom Eve is unable to respond quickly as Conquest delivers a punch, breaking the armor on her left leg.
But Conquest returns the favor.
In more ways than one...
Conquest then returns and ruins the armor on her right leg. He seizes her and lands a headbutt that breaks her helmet before tearing apart the rest of it. Atom Eve breathes heavily, exhausted from the battle. Conquest then lunges ahead, landing a blow so powerful that Atom Eve's face is split in two. He subsequently plunges his hand into her torso, shocking Invincible greatly.
In a last ditch effort to save Eve, Invincible shouts for Cecil's assistance, to no avail.
Invincible ascends, preventing her from falling before descending gently. Mark holds the wounded Eve, weeping while calling out for Cecil to assist her. Conquest observes from afar, noting his deep connection with Eve, and that such affection and care are absent in Viltrumite society, where they are viewed as vulnerabilities.
Conquest watches from the sky as Invincible mourns his lover.
Conquest then cleans the blood from his arm, remarking that her blood tastes delightful and that he is starting to comprehend Invincible's attraction to humans, noting that if Invincible has something to convey to a fading Eve, he should act quickly. Invincible remains silent while glaring at Conquest, who starts to express gratitude, mentioning how rare it is for him to be able to unleash like this. In the past, he was advised against killing specific individuals, cautioned not to ruin everything, and, for some reason, he was commanded to dominate Earth by any means required, which indicates that Mark has provoked the Viltrumites, for which he expresses gratitude once more. Nevertheless, Invincible begins to assert that he is indifferent to Conquest's strength or speed; he perceives the future and knows he won't survive to witness another day. Conquest starts to chuckle, astonished by how Invincible continues to menace him even after the beating he has endured. He subsequently advises him to "Do His Worst."

Both Invincible and Conquest move in and deliver a blow, their fists crashing together. Invincible succeeds in breaking Conquest's artificial arm, sacrificing his own in the process. Conquest looks at his wound, noting that they are finally making progress. However, Invincible starts relentlessly attacking Conquest. Conquest utilizes his available arm to clutch Invincible, trying to envelop him in a bear hug.

However, Invincible started relentlessly striking Conquest. Conquest uses his other arm to grasp Invincible, trying to enfold him in a bear hug. Conquest informs Invincible that anger doesn't enhance his strength, but Invincible responds by tearing off a piece of Conquest's flesh, prompting the Viltrumite to scream in pain. Conquest tosses Invincible away, who then spits out the piece of Conquest's shoulder. As Invincible and Conquest fight in the air, Atom Eve starts to experience a transformation, her abilities unleashed as she begins to recover. Before long, Invincible has Conquest restrained and starts to relentlessly strike him. Invincible then observes something occurring with Eve, but Conquest seizes that brief distraction to regain the advantage, breaking Invincible's neck before slamming him to the ground.
In a brief moment, Conquest reveals why the Empire made him the monster he is today.
While Invincible fights, Conquest starts to share his backstory, revealing to Mark how deeply lonely he is. All the other Viltrumites fear him, and no one wishes to converse with him; nobody wants to be his friend because they believe he is unpredictable. The Viltrumites dispatch him to different planets to carry out heinous acts on their behalf, and as he improves, their fear of him grows increasingly intense. He considers himself a casualty of his own achievements and confesses to Invincible that "Conquest" was a label assigned to him since he was not given a name, just a mission. He believes he can accomplish more than merely battling. Conquest confides in Invincible that at times he feels so isolated he could weep, but he refrains, aware that no one in the universe would notice. After sharing his personal frustrations with Invincible, Conquest warns Invincible to keep it to himself before he goes on to strangle him.

Atom Eve blazes Conquest!
At that instant, Conquest listens to a voice summoning Mark, diverting his focus from his target. Conquest pivots, noticing Atom Eve shrouded in a potent pink energy before she unleashes a strike so fierce that it vaporizes the skin and clothing from Conquest’s form. As the Viltrumite falls, Atom Eve reverts to her usual state, her attire vanishing before she succumbs and lies on the ground, unclothed. Invincible looks at her, puzzled by the previous events as Conquest rises, his body heavily injured from the explosion. The Viltrumite fiercely snarls that he will make certain she is genuinely dead.

Invincible yells at Conquest to keep away from her, soaring quickly to land a punch that breaks his jaw. Invincible pins Conquest to the ground, delivering powerful punches with one hand. Nonetheless, Conquest halts his fist with his hand, informing him that he still possesses plenty of fight remaining for Invincible before he tightens his fist, crushing Invincible’s hand. As Invincible cries out in agony, Conquest claims that is sufficient, and Invincible furiously responds that it's far from adequate before slamming his forehead into Conquest. Invincible then ruthlessly strikes Conquest, questioning him if this is everything he desired. Is he having a good time? Is he still enjoying himself?

Invincible continues to the pressure.
He shouts at Conquest to respond, even though the Viltrumite's face is completely crushed from the injuries. Conquest responds that he accepts the good alongside the bad while Invincible keeps head-butting him. Blood spatters all around as Invincible persists in pounding Conquest to death. Shortly, Invincible halts, breathing heavily with his whole face smeared in his and Conquest's blood; beneath him, the aged Viltrumite remains still, his skull shattered from the thrashing. Invincible then falls to the ground, approaching Atom Eve. Atom Eve and Invincible are beside one another, noting that they remain alive. Invincible informs Eve that he believed she was dead but is unable to complete his sentence before losing consciousness. Eve senses her awareness fading as she becomes aware of her nudity.
Both Invincible and Atom Eve were sprawled unconscious over the still form of Conquest. In that instant, Cecil transported himself, Donald, Brit, Monster Girl, Robot, Tech Jacket, Bulletproof, Shapesmith, Black Samson, Kid Thor, Knockout, and Bolt to the combat zone for support; yet, by that time, the Viltrumite had already been overcome.
Aftermath[]

Mark regained consciousness in the hospital, his face battered and his body in pain from the challenging fight against Conquest, where Eve welcomed him, informing him that he has been out cold for three days and was severely injured. Mark shed a few tears as he recalled everything, pondering how Eve survived despite the wounds she received from Conquest. Eve clarified that she has possessed her abilities since her time in the womb, where she created mental barriers to stop her from controlling sentient matter. Nevertheless, when a traumatic event happens, it surpasses her barriers, enabling her to access her powers without constraints, with her near-death encounter providing the pressure necessary to overcome those limitations.
Debbie is sad because of the ramifications of Nolan's heritage caused to her family and that she perhaps help instigate it.
She then reclined beside Mark, and soon Debbie and Paul joined the couple. Debbie started crying as she apologized to Mark for his constant fighting, and he reassured her that she has done nothing wrong. She informed him that Oliver is okay and just down the corridor. Just then, Cecil arrived, but before he could express his gratitude to Mark, Mark inquired about Conquest's whereabouts. Cecil then reveals the body, prompting Mark to command him to incinerate it.
The Funeral.
After the fight with Conquest, heroes from the war partook in Rex Splode's funeral, one of the few major super heroes who took down an evil Invincible. In the memory of his friend, Robot, Rudolph Conners, decided to change his name to Rex Conners, to honor and continue the memory of Rex Splode.
Eve, saddened that Rex is gone, and she never got the chance to truly be with him in his last days.
Eve saddened by death of Rex, is unable to make a eulogy, Invincible confronts Eve and the two talk about how Rex grow from a selfless jerk to a role model, Invincible accidentally smiles, glad that Eve is alive, is the only thing he thought about all day, which makes Eve happy, the two return home for imitate romance.
Mark subsequently visited Oliver, affirming that he was correct about everything: concerning the Maulers, regarding Angstrom, and how the latter almost took the lives of both him and Debbie. Due to the recent occurrences, Invincible is resolved that if anyone poses a threat to those he cares about, he will not hesitate to eliminate them.
Cecil's grand plan to finally end the Empire.
At the Pentagon, Cecil started pressing Sinclair to persist with the Invincible ReAnimen project, since Conquest's presence and defeat indicated that additional Viltrumites will arrive shortly, and they must have the ReAnimen prepared for when that happens. Yet, contrary to Mark's orders, instead of eliminating Conquest, Cecil had the Viltrumite confined in a tungsten steel alloy, still breathing. Donald is uncertain about this, and Cecil responds negatively, but he plans to question Conquest as soon as he regains consciousness, resolved to extract details regarding the Viltrum Empire from him and ways to halt them.
