Personality[]

Amber is a strong and opinionated woman and a feminist in her own right, who cares about helping others especially the homeless. She is interested in social justice and politics, and also very focused on her future in college. She is quick-witted and is generally friendly and took an interest in Mark after he defended her from a bully named Todd. She is also shown to be somewhat manipulative when she blackmailed Todd into giving Mark her phone number.

After weeks of being together with Mark, she deduced that he was Invincible but decided not tell Mark, hoping that he would trust her enough to tell her. When she, Mark, William, and Rick were attacked at Upstate University, Mark saved them as Invincible, but when he came back without his costume she was angry, saying that Mark left them in danger despite knowing at this point that he is Invincible and that if he hadn't stepped in they might have died. When Mark reveals his secret identity to Amber, she is unimpressed and disappointed seeing it less as an admission of honesty and more as a last ditch effort to save their relationship.

Throughout the first season, she has displayed frustration at Mark's constant ghosting of their dates and him lying as to where he has been. She wants Mark to show interest and compassion for her that she shows in him, and cannot stand when he repeatedly lies to her, eventually leading to her breaking up with him. At the end, she comes back to comfort Mark when she learned that she was not the only one being lied to.

In season two, Amber has been supporting Mark after his trauma with Omni Man and even being level headed and a lot more supportive when it comes to Mark going out as Invincible but often declaring he needs to listen to his feelings first before anyone else.
