Appearance
Physique
Anissa is a tall woman with tan skin, short black hair, high cheekbones, and blue eyes. She is regarded as extremely beautiful and alluring with a slim but curvy figure. Simultaneously, she possesses a toned and clearly defined athletic physique.
Clothing
Viltrumite Soldier Attire
Similar to others of her kind, she dons the classic Viltrumite attire; however, in contrast to many, the front section of her outfit is gray, featuring the Viltrumite emblem of a linear three-by-three symbol that overlaps the round insignia.
Personality
Anissa has an enchanting combination of grace and power. Although she might be regarded as more of a soldier than a warrior, her pragmatic and rational disposition is clear. Anissa shows an impressive grasp of concepts, aiming to be fair and empathetic, or at the very least, controlled. She tries to persuade Mark that being conquered by the Viltrumites would save Earth's inhabitants from needless suffering and anguish, while also guaranteeing a thriving future.
Yet, beneath her rational and possibly empathetic exterior, she is still a Viltrumite and is therefore inclined to resort to force against any opposition to establish superiority. She feels responsible to "educate" Mark, assisting him in understanding the daunting challenges he encounters. Nonetheless, Anissa's methodical and logical demeanor sets her apart from the more ruthless Viltrumites. Although she exhibits their brutal tendencies, she wishes to reduce unnecessary human losses, aiming to prevent a widespread slaughter in the Viltrum Empire's objective of dominating Earth. Despite her mental rigor, refined over centuries of experience, she feels utterly perplexed by Invincible's illogical compassion for the inhabitants of Earth.
As a proud soldier, Anissa greatly values her strength and feels uniquely vexed to discover that Allen, a Unopan, could wound her with such ease. This rendered her completely oblivious to Allen's trickery, which led to Nolan's escape and recruitment into the Coalition of Planets.
Powers & Abilities
Powers
- Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Anissa is an advanced being with extremely potent and well-developed genetics. From this, she eventually manifested a wide array of abilities common among the race, each of which will only steadily continue growing more powerful as she ages. At the same time, ranking among the elites of her race, her powers are considerably more advanced than most others, recognized as the strongest female Viltrumite to ever exist. Based on her bone and muscle density scans, the Global Defense Agency simulation discovered that Invincible had less than 18% chance of simply surviving his first fight against her. Additionally, both Cecil and Donald believed that all of Earth's superheroes combined wouldn't be enough to defeat her.
- Decelerated Aging: Anissa possesses an extraordinarily lifespan. This stems from her body gradually aging slower the longer she lives. From this, it allows her to retain her health, vitality, conditioning, performance, and youthful appearance that much longer. Despite being thousands of years old, she remains a youthful-looking and robust individual who entire performance remains unhindered.
- Dominant Genes: Viltrumite genes are extremely adaptive and powerful. As a Viltrumite, Anissa's genetics are so potent, she can reproduce with almost any other race and her genetics will almost completely overshadow the inherit genetics of the mate, making said offspring almost purely Viltrumite themselves. Likewise, the more naturally compatible the genetics are to the mate's race, the sooner and more likely the offspring will inherit all the standard Viltrumite abilities.
- Flight: Anissa can levitate herself in the air and propel herself in any direction her desires, able to alter her trajectory mid-flight, letting her maneuver seamlessly through various environments. She is also able to fly through space.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Anissa's body is incredibly resilient, allowing her to withstand a wide range of attacks without sustaining any significant harm. She is unfazed by virtually any environment, or lack thereof. She can walk away unscathed from explosions, bullets, and even powerful energy-based assaults.
- Reactive Adaptation: Anissa has a propensity for continual growth and improvement throughout her lifespan. Her physical strength, speed, and durability progressively augment in correlation with the level of adversity she faces or the severity of injuries she recovers from. Moreover, her combat experience fosters an innate ability to assimilate knowledge and insights from past encounters, enabling her to gradually refine her tactics and enhance her efficiency in subsequent engagements.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Anissa's body can recover from injuries in a day, if not mere minutes. She can restore broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs; she can even regrow lost anatomy with no lingering signs. This varies based on the severity of the injury. Likewise, she is virtually immune to almost all forms of illness and contamination.
- Superhuman Lung Capacity: Anissa possesses the remarkable physiological ability to sustain her breath for extended periods of time, spanning several weeks. This allows her to endure the harshness of space unprotected and make interstellar travel.
- Superhuman Senses: Anissa possesses an exceptional auditory perception surpassing human capabilities, allowing her to discern sounds emanating from considerable distances and selectively drown out specific noises. Her vision is equally advanced, able to discern distant objects with the same clarity as though they were in close proximity. Likewise, this grants her an equally powerful equilibrium and balance, able to maintain her stability and poise even in challenging situations.
- Superhuman Speed: Anissa can move at tremendous speed, able to travel anywhere in the world in mere minutes if not seconds. Her reflexes and reaction time likewise operate at similar speeds. Her speed has even been noted to exceed Nolan's by a considerable amount. She is much faster than the speed of light and capable of crossing intergalactic distances in mere weeks.
- Superhuman Stamina: Anissa can sustain physical exertion for prolonged periods of time without showing any signs of exhaustion. She can likewise endure some of the most grievous of injuries that would instantly kill a human, excluding too much hard to the heart or brain. She can go for several weeks without sleep or sustenance unhindered.
- Superhuman Strength: Anissa’s strength extends to the ability to lift and press several tons, making her a powerhouse in combat situations. This strength allows her to go toe-to-toe with formidable foes. Against a massive monster that Invincible struggled to hold back, she was able to effortlessly plow herself clean through its thick hide like a bullet. She also demonstrated her immense strength by assisting Mark in lifting an entire cruise ship and moving it to an island without showing any signs of distress, further showcasing her raw power and endurance.
Abilities
- Intimidation: Anissa is capable of bringing the strongest of wills to their dreaded knees, as proven when Cecil realized from her demonstrated strength that Invincible, the Guardians, and all the other superheroes of Earth combined have less than no chance against her, and instead implored Mark to simply pretend to comply with her demands.
- Master Combatant: Despite relying mostly on her natural Viltrumite abilities to defeat opponents, Anissa is a trained warrior with a millennia of experience, making her well skilled and formidable in hand-to-hand combat. Against Invincible, she effortlessly anticipated all of the half-breed's attacks and easily countered with minimal effort, nearly killing him had she not held back.
- Master Manipulator: To be added...
Weaknesses
- Excessively High Frequency: High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Viltrumites. It disturbs their balance, restricts their flying capability, induces severe pain, and could potentially lead to their death. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
- Extreme Force: Even though Viltrumites rank among the universe's mightiest, they are not entirely invincible. Viltrumites are vulnerable to entities with comparable or superior strength.
- Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus targets Viltrumites by compromising their immune systems, deactivating their strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.

Trivia
- Anissa is based off of Faora from the DC Comics, and Fasha from Dragon Ball Z.
- All of them have similar appearances: short dark hair, are very unique fighters, and last letter of their name ends with an "a".
- Her physical appearance and build is also similar to two other short dark haired characters: Supergirl from The Flash, played by Sasha Calle and Dr. Anna Ripely from The Legend of Vox Machina.
- There are a few differences between this version of the character and the original comic version:
- In the comics, Anissa has been married four times.
- In the comics, Anissa was born during the Argall Era, it's unknown if this version of the character was also present in that time period.
- In her comic debut, circa issue 44, she threatened Debbie Grayson, rather than Amber Bennett who had broken up with Mark Grayson way before she came to earth, but placed no hands on Debbie and appeared at the university's restaurant.
- There is a DC comic character called Thunder, real name Anissa Jones, that debuted the same year the Invincible comic run started.
- Ironically, in some cultures, Anissa means joy, grace, pure, and affectionate.
- It is still uncertain whether this character's version will feature a distinctive dark storyline as her counterpart, but considering the gravity of that narrative, it seems quite improbable. It is highly probable that they will develop an original narrative for Anissa, much like how they modified Shrinking Rae's fate and provided her with an original storyline, or how they are giving Damien Darkblood an original storyline for Season 4.
