Trial of Combat[]

After Omni-Man left the planet, Aquaria threatened to sink the entire eastern seaboard if his son, Invincible, didn't take his father's place in their ritual. Invincible fought off the Depth Dweller, and when the monster escaped and nearly massacred countless Atlanteans, including Aquaria, he intervened to save both the queen and her people. As a result of his actions, Invincible successfully completed the trial and was forgiven in his father's place for the king's death.

  • Similar to how Aquarius is based off Aquaman and Namor, Aquaria seems to be based off Mera from DC Comics and Namora from Marvel.
  • In the comics, Queen Aquaria was supposed to marry Invincible, a detail mentioned in the show. However, the show decided to eliminate that storyline. Unlike the show's approach, Queen Aquaria was open to the idea of marrying Invincible. Ultimately, Mark helps an Atlantean who loves the Queen defeat the Depth Dweller, allowing him to marry Queen Aquaria instead.
