Principal Winslow is shown to be a caring instructor to all his students at Reginald Vel Johnson High School. He is first seen finding Mark Grayson in a hallway, asking him about his future college. Months later, Winslow is later seen again giving a graduation speech to all his new graduates, wishing nothing but the best in their future endeavor and inspiring them to be bold, original and above all invincible against whatever stands in their way.

Months afterwards, he moved to Upstate University and became its new dean. Due to his failed grades and attendance, he met with Mark after he returned from his two months long absence, and knowing full well and sympathetic about his father's "death", instead of suspending him for his lack of educational dedication, Winslow allowed Mark a month to choose between continuing at university and dedicating himself to his studies or committing to different aspirations. In the end, Mark left college because of his responsibilities as a superhero.
