Capevincible[1] (also known as Sinister Mark by the community) is a supporting antagonist in Invincible, debuting from Season 3 and onwards.
He is an alternate version of the main Invincible from another universe. Capevincible was one of the variants of Invincible who would be assembled by Angstrom Levy to start the Invincible War in the mainstream dimension. In the aftermath, he and his variants, who survived the war, were later banished to the Wasteland Dimension after turning on Angstrom for failing to uphold his end of their deal.
Appearance
Physique
Capevincible looks physically identical to his main timeline counterpart, having black hair with a widows-peak that is combed back with a few strands sticking up along with a lean and defined build. The only noticeable difference between the two is that Capevincible appears paler compared to the main Invincible.
Capevincible Attire
Capevincible wears a similar outfit to his mainstream counterpart, although his costume features a distinct black and yellow color scheme. The outfit also possesses a large yellow cape, fingered yellow gloves (as opposed to the original's fingerless ones), black visors on his mask, and a lack of knee pads. Other noticeable differences in Capevincible's costume are that the bottom of the "i" on his chest does not have a point and his mask goes all the way around his eyes, unlike the main Mark's costume.
Personality
Capevincible represents a terrifying escalation of evil, surpassing even the most depraved of his predecessors. He's a psychopathic killer, utterly devoid of humanity, whose brutality and sadism mirror the most heinous serial offenders. Driven by a relentless, single-minded focus on his objectives, particularly killing, he wastes no time or energy on anything but their swift and brutal completion. His volatile aggression manifests in constant outbursts of anger and verbal assaults, making him a perpetually dangerous and unpredictable force.
History
Background
The early life of this Invincible and his actions on Earth are unknown, though he was fathered and mothered by Nolan and Debbie Grayson. He, like most other variants of Invincible, became a supervillain in his reality. He had also killed the Nolan Grayson of his universe.

Capevincible finds Angstrom and his son.
At some point, Capevincible had killed the wife of Angstrom Levy in his reality. Capevincible's actions would force Angstrom and his son to go underground. Unfortunately for them, Capevincible soon found the two and sarcastically expressed sadness about their attempts to hide from him. With great speed, Capevincible grabbed Angstrom Jr. by the throat and remarked he would kill him first, much to Angstrom's horror as he could only watch as Capevincible mercilessly killed his son in cold blood.
Invincible War

Capevincible is recruited by the mainstream Angstrom Levy.
As part of his ongoing vendetta against his own Invincible, the mainstream variant of Angstrom Levy amassed Capevincible and several other evil variants of the hero to wreak havoc across the world in an attempt to tarnish his reputation and ruin his life. In exchange for their cooperation, Angstrom promised Capevincible and the other variants the opportunity to conquer other realities, which Capevincible agreed to. Capevincible was soon released into the mainstream dimension alongside the rest of Team Evil Invincible, sparking the Invincible War.

Capevincible taunts Best Tiger in Hong Kong.
On the first day of the war, Capevincible attacked Hong Kong and encountered Best Tiger. Capevincible chased Best Tiger across some rooftops, evading the hero's gunfire as he tried to kill him. Capevincible stopped to taunt the hero, giving Best Tiger time to land a quick ricochet shot on Capevincible, cutting him off mid-sentence and sending him flying. On the second day of the war, Capevincible chased El Chupacabra to an alleyway and attempted to kill him. Capevincible noted that he killed his own father and asked if El Chupacabra thought he could take him down before attacking the hero.

Capevincible after destroying Hollywood.
By the third and final day of the war, Capevincible had decimated Hollywood before being ordered by Angstrom to meet up for the next phase of his plan. Capevincible regrouped with his remaining variants in the skies above the Grayson House, where Angstrom congratulated them for their efforts. Angstrom then ordered the group to bring him the mainstream Invincible, although Capevincible quickly refused, pointing out that Angstrom's plan had gotten most of the variants killed.
Unfazed by their betrayal, Angstrom opened portals behind Capevincible and the other variants and quickly launched their individual camera drones at them while they were distracted, sending them through the portals and trapping them in the Wasteland Universe. Upon realizing what had happened, Capevincible screamed out for Angstrom and stated he would kill him, although Movincihawk quickly pointed out that he could not hear him.
Legacy
Capevincible's role in the Invincible War had tremendous repercussions on the mainstream dimension. Entire cities and countries were reduced to rubble while numerous lives were lost.
Powers & Abilities
- Hybrid Viltrumite Physiology: Capevincible possesses all the powers of his main timeline counterpart. He is a Human-Viltrumite hybrid, though his Viltrumite genes overshadow his Human genes, making him almost a pure-blooded Viltrumite. Unlike the main Invincible, however, Capevincible appears much more adept at using his powers and does so in an even more vicious manner.
- Decelerated Aging: Capevincible possesses an exceptionally prolonged lifespan due to his biology, which causes him to age increasingly slower over time. This decelerated aging allows him to maintain peak health, physical conditioning, and combat performance far beyond the natural limits of most beings.
- Dominant Genes: Viltrumites genetics are incredibly potent and adaptive. Capevincible, like others of his kind, can reproduce with a wide range of species, with his Viltrumite DNA overwhelmingly asserting itself in the offspring. As a result, the child will typically inherit predominantly Viltrumite traits, often appearing and functioning almost entirely as a Viltrumite. The more genetically compatible the mate’s species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will manifest the full range of standard Viltrumite abilities.
- Flight: Due a complex balancing system located in his inner ears, Capevincible possesses the ability to levitate and propel himself through the air at will, capable of reaching extreme speeds. He can effortlessly alter his trajectory mid-flight, allowing for sharp turns, sudden stops, and precise aerial maneuvering. His control enables seamless navigation through a wide range of environments.
- Superhuman Strength: Capevincible possesses immense physical strength, easily capable of lifting and pressing several tons. Like all Viltrumites, he was born with enhanced physical power, but what sets this variant apart from his prime universe counterpart, this variant is far more ruthless and aggressive in his use of power. In his reality, Capevincible murdered his own father, Nolan Grayson, and effortlessly killed Angstrom Levy's son, showcasing a level of brutality not seen in the primary universe's Mark Grayson. During the Invincible War, Capevincible participated in the multiversal assault on Earth and proved to be one of the deadliest versions. In Hong Kong, he faced the expert marksman Best Tiger and managed to defeat him despite the hero's lethal accuracy. He later encountered and overpowered El Chupacabra. By the third day of the invasion, Capevincible had laid waste to Hollywood, demonstrating the sheer scale of destruction he caused. Eventually, he was captured and exiled to the Wasteland Universe, where his fate remains uncertain. This variant is arguably the third strongest among the alternate Invincibles, surpassed only by Movincihawk and Nogogglesible.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Capevincible possesses extraordinary durability, making his body incredibly resilient to a vast array of attacks. He can endure nearly any assault without sustaining significant damage, including explosions, bullets, and powerful energy-based assaults. During the Invincible War, he engaged in combat with Best Tiger, who managed to distract him long enough for a precise shot that sent Sinister Invincible flying, though he sustained no damage from the attack. El Chupacabra's claws also cannot hurt him. By the end of day 3, Capevincible remained unharmed and unscathed.
- Superhuman Speed: Capevincible can move at incredible velocities, capable of traversing the globe in mere minutes. His short-range speed is equally enhanced, so fast that normal humans cannot register his movements. In his reality, he closed the distance and slipped past Angstrom to capture his son before the latter even realized what had happened, instantly killing him afterward. His reaction time is similarly enhanced, allowing him to swiftly dodge rapid-fire attacks such as those from Best Tiger. However, he was momentarily distracted during the exchange, allowing a single shot to connect and send him flying.
- Reactive Adaptation: Capevincible exhibits remarkable resilience and adaptability, displaying a propensity for continual growth and improvement throughout his lifespan. His physical strength, speed, and durability progressively augment in correlation with the level of adversity he faces or the severity of injuries he recovers from. Moreover, his combat experience fosters an innate ability to assimilate knowledge and insights from past encounters, enabling him to refine his tactics and enhance his efficiency in subsequent engagements.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Capevincible possesses an incredible healing factor, allowing his body to recover from injuries in mere minutes or, at most, within a few days. His regenerative abilities enable him to heal broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs, and even regrow lost body parts without any lasting effects. This healing ability is highly dependent on the severity of the injury. Additionally, Capevincible is virtually immune to most illnesses and contaminants, making him highly resistant to various environmental and biological threats.
- Superhuman Lung Capacity: Capevincible possesses extraordinary lung capacity, allowing him to survive without air for extended periods. This ability enables him to operate unhindered in oxygen-deprived environments, such as the vacuum of space without protection.
- Superhuman Senses: Capevincible possesses an exceptional auditory perception far surpassing human capabilities, allowing him to discern sounds emanating from considerable distances and selectively drown out specific noises. His vision is equally advanced, able to discern distant objects with the same clarity as though they were in close proximity. Likewise, this grants him an equally powerful equilibrium and balance, able to maintain his stability and poise even in challenging situations.
- Superhuman Stamina: Capevincible can sustain physical exertion for prolonged periods of time without showing any signs of exhaustion. He can likewise endure some of the most grievous of injuries that would instantly kill a human, excluding too much harm to his heart or brain. He can go for several weeks without sleep or sustenance unhindered.
Weaknesses
- Excessively High Frequency: High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Viltrumites. It disturbs their balance, restricts their flying capability, induces severe pain, and could potentially lead to their death. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
- Extreme Force: Even though Viltrumites rank among the universe's mightiest, they are not entirely invincible. Viltrumites are vulnerable to entities with comparable or superior strength.

- In the comics, he also fought another image comics' warrior called "Firebreather", who, like Invincible, is a human hybrid, but of a dragon species. He also fought Kid Omni-Man and defeats him, though he doesn't kill him. In the show, he faces Best Tiger in Hong Kong before fighting El Chupacabra.
- In a post made by Ryan Ottley (a former artist for the Invincible comics), it is revealed that one of the original concepts for Capevincible was a zombified version of Invincible, as an homage to the Marvel Zombies series, which Robert Kirkman wrote[2] (which makes Capevincible being a cannibal in the comics even more ironic, since zombies eat people).
