Backstory[]
His backstory is largely unknown. However, he is able to convert other humans into a ReAnimens by capturing them.
Converting Doug[]
Three girls are approached by a drunk boy who tells them he is Doug Cheston, son of the owner of Cheston Pharmaceutical and half the university. They realize his father had elevated prices on a medicine, but he tells them that he would inherit everything soon, offering them sex, but they refuse. He is attacked from behind and put to sleep.
When Doug awakens, D.A. Sinclair tells him that he would be turned into a brave explorer. Doug calls him a nerd, but he finds he is bound and trapped in a basement with multiple cyborgs. He looks at his arm, with his forearm missing and replaced with a robotic prosthetic, which terrifies him. Since he did not stay quiet, D.A. Sinclair cut his throat and removed his vocal chords.
Terminated[]

D.A. Sinclair was bored by the lecture and told the professor, shocking Mark and the rest of the class.
At the class, a professor gives a biology class, but D.A. Sinclair does not agree with what he has to say and tells him that all human failings were simply engineering challenges and tells them that they were all machines. Amber tells him he was being a jerk and says that what he had told the class was dramatic. D.A. Sinclair walks up to them and tells Rick that he did not belong in a school of idiots. He calls Rick impressive and is asked to leave by the professor.
Later, D.A. Sinclair organizes an attack using Doug's monster. When his monster is defeated, he is furious and mentions that would be the last time that he would leave anybody's frontal lobe intact, while looking at Rick.
After abducting Rick and finding William Clockwell, drags him away with a monster. William asks Sinclair what he had done to Rick and Sinclair tells him that he would be doing the same thing to him.
Mark goes underground to the sewer and looks around for William. He is attacked by Sinclair's cyborgs and taken underwater while being punched. He finds Sinclair's lab while William is tied up. Invincible is punched by many of the monsters while Sinclair argued that he was fixing humanities' weaknesses. Mark takes one of the cyborg's helmet off and finds out it was Rick, but Sinclair told them not to try to talk to him since he had removed his emotions.

Cecil and his team arrived.
Invincible is thrown around while William tries talking to Rick, remembering how they had had sex before, which surprises Sinclair. Sinclair starts cutting William's arm, which makes Rick recognize William and remove part of his helmet, so he could help Invincible, much to his horror, claiming that he's "ruining" everything as the other two ReAnimen are defeated. Sinclair tries escaping, but William chases him and punches him in the face repeatedly. Sinclair overpowers him and flees, claiming that they are ruining humanity, only to run into Mark, who fractures his jaw.
Invincible apologizes to Cecil for having punched Sinclair like that, but he understands and tells him he would lock Sinclair up, while doing his best for the humans who had been experimented on.
Pre-Destruction of Chicago[]

Sinclair watches his creations fight Omni-Man.
A still injured Sinclair was later tasked by Cecil to create ReAnimen in order to stall and hopefully defeat Omni-Man. Sinclair watches along everyone else in the GDA as his creations are sent in and fight Omni-Man, managing to hold their ground against him for a while. However, Omni-Man soon defeats the ReAnimen, killing them and Sinclair grows visibly upset over it, to which Cecil responds by having his men take Sinclair out of the room.
Post-Destruction of Chicago[]
Working with the G.D.A[]

Sinclair gives Cecil a thumbs up.
Sinclair is seen fully recovered from his injuries sometime after Omni-man had left the planet. Cecil enters a room containing an army of seemingly upgraded ReAnimen with Sinclair working on one of them and who gives Cecil a reassuring thumbs up.
Anissa's Arrival[]
Sinclair is later seen again when Anissa comes to inspect Invincible's progress on taking over Earth. Cecil tries to get Sinclair to deploy his ReAnimen to combat Anissa, however he responds by saying that he's not finished with his models, much to Cecil's dismay.
Advent of Conquest[]
During the Invincible War, several of the evil Invincibles were killed and their bodies were collected by the G.D.A so Sinclair could upgrade them into ReAnimen. When Cecil learned that another Viltrumite had arrived and began fighting Invincible, Cecil ordered him to quickly get the Invincible ReAnimen onto the field. Sinclair protested that his team needed a minimum of two weeks before they could even field test them, as their muscles were so dense that their conventional tools simply weren't cutting it and they had to make new inventions on the spot. Sinclair stated that once they were able to get them out, they would be godlike. As Cecil leaves the room, Sinclair talks to one of the female staff on his team, stating that their planned night would have to be postponed.
