Appearance[]
Kate Cha is a young Chinese woman with short black hair, gray eyes, and fair skin. As Dupli-Kate, she wears a gray and black suit with a number emblem. All clones of Dupli-Kate have a number on their suit displaying their consecutive order to all other clones, with the one with Number "1" being the original Kate.
Personality[]
Dupli-Kate presents herself as confident, practical, and independent. She does not sugarcoat things and tends to be more realistic than others, sometimes coming across as a bit jaded. She is good at working with others but keeps some emotional distance. After Season 2, after she has a hypocrite although she is blunt and often calls out her peers over certain situations, she herself is no better. more specifically, she would tell off Rex over his attitude and when he used her to cheat on Eve, but then she goes off as cheating on him with Immortal. In Season 3, she becomes even more selfish, self-absorbed, judgemental, she did was when she once faked her death. For starters, everybody thought the real Kate was killed by the Lizard League alongside her clones. Then it turns out the real Kate went into hiding temporarily just because she wanted to live a normal life and couldn't handle all the dying she's witnessed. As a result, her brother "Multi-Paul" threatened to attack Rex-Splode accusing him for being responsible for Kate's death, when actually Rex almost got killed himself but barely survived. When Kate shows up to reveal she's still alive, this led to Paul being thrown in jail. Kate tells Shrinking Ray not to lecture her because she went through just as much as she and Rex did if not more. Everybody scoffs at the suggestion, saying that there’s only one of her and unlike Kate, she can’t hide a backup copy of herself away.
Dupli-Kate's power, which lets her create duplicates of herself, makes her great in fights and multitasking but also occasionally causes her to question her sense of self.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Self-Replication: Kate possesses the ability to instantly create any number of identical physical duplicates of herself at will and likewise re-merge with them. The duplicates are created by Kate focusing on it and making them "split off" from within her. It is not yet known the exact number of duplicates of herself she can create before taxing the ability. Each of the duplicates are capable of independent thought, feeling and action, yet they are telepathically linked from formation to absorption, instantly knowing everything the others do.
- Superhuman Strength: Kate possesses some degree of superhuman strength, managing to hurt Komodo Dragon with her physical blows.
Abilities[]
- Combat Skills: Kate has a diverse training background including hand-to-hand stand-up, clinch, ground fighting, martial arts, boxing, and wrestling.
Weaknesses[]
- Replication Blocking: Kate's ability to replicate requires sufficient physical space. If she is restrained—such as being held by Komodo Dragon—she cannot create a duplicate of herself.
- Telepathic Link: Each version of Kate shares the same experiences, so if one dies, all the others feel it.
