History[]

Machine Head Penthouse Fight[]

Furnace is summoned by Isotope to fight for Machine Head. Unlike the other villains, Furnace is not seen fighting Invincible and Titan. However, when the Guardians of the Globe arrive, he attacks Robot. Afterwards he fights Dupli-Kate but explodes from Rex Splode's explosive letters attached by Dupli-Kate to his armor, letting out magma. He collapses to the ground trying not to drop it.

Breakout Fail[]

Furnace is later sent along with Kursk by Titan under threat from Mr. Liu to break Multi-Paul out from prison. The two are seen battling security guards before Invincible and Kid Omni-Man show up, the latter of the two then rushes into the fight despite the former telling him not to. Invincible manages to defeat both Furnace and Kursk, sending him flying before smashing against a wall, breaking open his armor leaving his molten body to fall onto Kursk which burns him. Furnace is then arrested alongside Kursk by the security guards.

  • Furnace is based on Neutron.
  • Furnace's powers and design bear resemblance to NRG from the Ben 10 franchise. Both are made of living energy (Plasma and Radiation) and use a metallic suit in battle.
  • Despite Furnace's first appearing in the original Image Comics series in 2009, he could have inspired Auta Magetta another iron character from Dragon Ball Super.
