Hail Mary is a gigantic kaiju creature that once fought Omni-Man. After her defeat, the creature was taken and enhanced by Cecil Stedman and the GDA to fight Omni-Man once more after his true motives had been revealed.
Appearance[]
Hail Mary is enormous kaiju, standing at least 80 feet tall, possibly even taller. She is posed on all fours, with a powerfully built, muscular body. Her head is covered in bright yellow, tentacle-like appendages that hide her mouth and any visible eyes. A terrifying mouth lurks beneath the tentacles, filled with huge, rectangular teeth in the front and a row of smaller, razor-sharp teeth behind. Hail Mary's skin is mostly dark green, with a lighter green on her underside. Sharp, white spike's stick out from her back and shoulders.
History[]
Initial Defeat[]
Donald witnessed Omni-Man's struggle to defeat her the first time the kaiju made her appearance, so Cecil ordered her to be put on ice for the time being. Dubbed "Hail Mary", the kaiju was kept around since at this point suspicions were growing around Nolan Grayson.
Rematch with Omni-Man[]
When Omni-Man flies away after defeating the ReAnimen, the G.D.A. teleports Hail Mary to face Omni-Man. Omni-Man initially tries to fly away but Hail Mary grabs him and slams him into the ground. Omni-Man immediately struggles to fight Hail Mary as she knocks him unconscious. Before Hail Mary can finish him off, Invincible arrives and helps Omni-Man. The two take Hail Mary on and while some progress is being made, she still manages to put up a good fight. Eventually, The Immortal arrives seeking vengeance on Omni-Man and Hail Mary is left up to Mark to fight alone. When Omni-man kills The Immortal for the second time, Mark defeats Hail Mary by electrocuting her with a power line nearby. After being electrocuted, Hail Mary falls to the ground unconscious and Mark ties up her tentacles and limbs together with more lines.
Power and Abilities[]
- Physical Strength & Durability: In Donald's observations, it is noted that Hail Mary not only managed to stand firm against the formidable opponent Omni-Man but also successfully emerged from the battle with her survival intact.
- Jaw Strength: Hail Mary demonstrated a seemingly formidable oral capacity that could temporarily accommodate Omni-Man as for Invincible was unconscious for short period of time.
- Tentacles: The appendages on Hail Mary's visage possess significant strength and exhibit remarkable swiftness, enabling her to effectively impede Omni-Man's ability to evade confrontation. Hail Mary exhibits remarkable agility and dexterity in extending her tentacles, effectively demonstrated by her ability to effortlessly capture both Mark and Nolan while they are mid-air.
- Cecil's Enhancements: Cecil captured Hail Mary after Donald had seen her fight Omni-Man. Believing she could be a weapon against Omni-Man in the future, Cecil had the kaiju enhanced. Cecil's team drastically altered Hail Mary's physiology. They eliminated her ability to feel pain and used a combination of every powerful performance-enhancing drug available to augment her body. This gave her significantly increased strength, enough to survive a brutal fight against both Omni-Man and Invincible. These enhancements also unleashed a violent rage within her directed towards Omni-Man.

Trivia[]
- With her tentacled face, Hail Mary is likely visually inspired by depictions of Cthulhu.
- Additionally, she bears a striking resemblance to the Darkasher from Carnival Row.
- The code name given to her by Cecil refers to a last-ditch, final resort plan.
- In the Khaos Reigns update for Mortal Kombat 1, each character was given an Animality finisher where they transform into an animal; fittingly, Omni-Man becomes Hail Mary for his Animality.
