Hellish Showdown is an upcoming event taking place in chaotic afterlife known as Hell, where Damien Darkblood and the Great Beast bring forth a chosen figure.

Before[]

Damien Darkblood sent back to hell 956 — As punishment for continuing his crusade to find out who killed the Guardians, Cecil banishes Damien back to hell.

Several years ago, Damien Darkblood, was sentenced back to hell by Cecil Stedman, who tried to warn him to abandon the mystery killer of the original Guardians of the Globe.

Meeting the Demon Overlord[]

After the Invincible War and afterwards, Damien had took notice of an unknown individual and summon "The Great Beast", once the Demon King of Hell. Apologizing for this random meeting, but inspires the beast of a unknown warrior, who's heart and spirit is full of Darkness, and can be his conduit to taking over hell, and has a plan to bring "him" to underworld directly.

Trivia[]

This is the third original show exclusive event in the series, the others was the Raid on the Lizard League facility in the Atom Eve Special and the Mauler's first breakout.
Originally Damien Darkblood was supposed to have a bigger role in the comics, hence this event, but however because of the Omni-Man, Viltrumites and future stories, the writer Robert Kirkman never got a chance to explore this event and Damien was phased out of the series.
