The Invincible War was a world-shattering event in Invincible. Featuring all of Earth's superheroes and military forces against several evil variants of Invincible from across the multiverse, led by a very much alive Angstrom Levy, all to destroy and tarnish the heroic legacy of Invincible.
Prelude[]

Previously on Invincible..
Angstrom Levy once targeted Invincible and his family, aiming to get revenge for what occurred after his previous plan. He was unsuccessful and suffered critical injuries, abandoned in a desolate reality.
Though Guardians from an alternate timeline rescued Invincible, Angstrom's body remained in the remnants of the wasteland in critical condition. Barely alive, Angstrom opened a portal to a universe occupied by mysterious beings known as the Technicians. With their help, he was repaired and initiated a fresh plan to seek vengeance on Mark Grayson.

An unseen foe watches the Graysons.
For an indefinite span of months, Angstrom observed his family secretly through the use of orb-like drones. Mark managed to catch one of these devices when he saw it spying on them, but then it self-destructed.
He could not figure out who the perpetrator was. When he reached Teen Team HQ, he brought the device before, Robot, though he was unable to identify the inventor of the orb device, mentioning that its technology was highly advanced. Invincible had already assumed that it was Cecil Stedman after their disagreement. He went back to the Pentagon where he faced ReAnimen and Cecil, who evasively state that it was not GDA tech, and departed, claiming that this is not over...

The Beginning of the End of Invincible.
While observing the Graysons and Eve, Angstrom devised his latest plan and started to gather several evil variants of Invincible from the multiverse to his hidden base. At last, the day arrived when it was disclosed that he had successfully gathered at least eighteen variants, each appearing quite dangerous with menacing facial expressions.
Day I[]

Day 1
Angstrom begins his plan, opening his portals as he sends all the Invincible variants through with the intent of having them causing as much destruction as possible to make everyone in the whole world fear and hate Invincible. At the time, Mark and Eve were relaxing in former's home when the latter received a call from Payton Penitentiary which is in the process of being attacked by Movincihawk who cynically mocked it for being a "prison". His attack led the prison to calling Invincible Inc. for help, exclaiming to Atom Eve who was attacking them which stunned her.
At the same time, Stripevincible was overpowering a hero in front of the Queen's Palace in Britain, calling him pathetic and he would not have him as a slave in his empire.
Prisonincible attacks Moscow, confronting a hero there while expressing out that he could use a warm up after spending a long time in the Viltrumite Prison.
Viltrumincible battles the Wolf-Man, even revealing that he killed him once and will do it again.
In Hong Kong, Capevincible battles Best Tiger.
In Earth's atmosphere, Tech Jacket battles Mustachible.
The mainline Invincible soon reaches Payton Penitentiary where he found himself facing off against the variant of himself responsible for this. Movincihawk at first thought Invincible was one of his allies only to find out that he is the Invincible of this universe. Invincible battles his variant, eventually defeating him by slamming his fists into his ears. However, Knockout, Kid Thor, and Bolt then show up; they mistake Invincible for one of the variants before attacking him. In the midst of the chaos, Powerplex escapes, at first happy to seeing other heroes beating up Invincible, only to find himself face to face with Movincihawk who proceeds to take out Powerplex easily. Eventually, Movincihawk was beaten by the combined might of Invincible, Knockout, Bolt and Kid Thor to which Bolt assures Invincible they can take it from here. As Invincible joins Atom Eve to investigate this catastrophe, Knockout, Bolt and Kid Thor goes to restrain Mohawk only for him to recover and take them out off screen.
While the chaos ensues, Debbie, Oliver, April, Amber, Kyle, William and Rick witness the news broadcasting over how major cities around the world are attacked by multiple individuals resembling Invincible, with local and government forces being completely overwhelmed. Oliver then changes into his Kid Omni-Man costume, determined to help fight the evil variants to which Debbie tells him to not return to the house should any of the Invincible variants come.
At the Pentagon, Cecil and Donald watch as a bunch of ReAnimen were beating Flaxancible to death, with Cecil being injured while Donald's skin being damaged from the fight. It was where Donald shares that the team thinks that Flaxancible and the others are from alternate dimensions where Mark is not Mark and there are at least 18 of them around the world. Though luckily for them, Flaxancible was not as powerful as the Invincible from the main universe. With the noisemaker damaged, Cecil order Donald to get the scientists to make more only for Donald to tell him the engineering room is gone and he asks how would the team respond to this to which Cecil answers that they will "Make calls to everyone." Get every hero involved to deal with the variants.
Day II[]

Day 2
In continuation to the war in Day 1, Brit began ordering heroes into the transporters, heroes ranging from Two Punch Man, Business Baby, Throwbolt, Hunk and many others entering the transporter to battle the Evil Invincibles.
Kid Omni-Man lifts up a rubble to save a man before noticing someone he thought was Invincible. But as he got closer, Kid Omni-Man stops as he found himself face to face with Capvincible. Capvincible then takes down Kid Omni-Man, preparing to kill the boy with a piece of rubble until Kid Omni-Man recovers, flying underneath the variant's leg before punching him in the back. Capvincible goes up to Kid Omni-Man, ready to battle him until Throwbolt and another hero arrives, assisting Oliver in fighting the variant.
Invincible and Atom Eve flies across the city, buildings destroyed and many dead with Eve telling Mark that things are bad and the Alternate Invincibles are everywhere, she then proposes that they will have to take out the variants one by one before finding out who was the one responsible only for Invincible to reveal that he knows Angstrom Levy is behind all this. At that moment, Mark and Eve witness Hoodvincible battling a bunch of heroes. Though the heroes were able to draw blood, it was not enough as Hoodvincible easily takes them out by slamming the ground, expressing out that they are only a fraction of his power. Both Invincible and Atom Eve flies in and the pair overpowered Hoodvincible before Omnivincible joins in. Hoodvincible uses vulgarities to tell Omnivincible to leave rudely only for Omnivincible to coldly reply that swearing doesn't make him cool. Invincible tells Atom Eve to leave but she refuses, leaving him battling Hoodvincible while her facing off Omnivincible. During the battle, Atom Eve gets overwhelmed by Omnivincible, with him breaking her leg, until Invincible saves her by throwing Hoodvincible at him. Invincible holds up Atom Eve as Omnivincible gave him an ultimatum, knowing that Invincible cannot save his girlfriend and fight off his Evil Variants at the same time. However, Cecil unleashes a bunch of ReAnimen to attack Hoodvincible and Omnivincible, buying them time and he tells Invincible through a drone to bring Eve to the hospital for treatment. Donald then asks Cecil to send him out as he feel like he could do more out there than in here, to which Cecil reluctantly agrees and tell him to find Brit. Invincible then spent the rest of the war staying next to Atom Eve.
In Egypt, Nogogglesible crashes through the tomb of Ka-Hor where the Spectre attempts to use his body for possession. Immortal watches in confusion as Nogogglesible broke free from Ka-Hor's grasp before flying into the sky to continue his attack. Ka-Hor screams out that he cannot survive outside of his tomb as he crawls back down with Riley carrying Jane out of the tomb, having been freed from their imprisonment.
Capevincible was seen battling El Chupacabra, presumably after defeating Best Tiger off screen where he reveals that he killed the Omni-Man in his dimension and would not be defeated by this hero.
In the desert, Nomaskible wrestles against the Hunk, easily pushing him across the sand before killing him.
Business Baby and The Big Mildew are battling Stripevincible together in Paris before the Invincible variant gained the upper hand and he defeats the two.
Hairvincible was seen taking on heroes in a suburban neighborhood.
At the Guardians of the Globe base, Black Samson and Shapesmith lay injured while being surrounded by many corpses of Dupli-Kate's clones. Nogogglesible laughs off attacks from The Immortal and Darkwing II, complimenting them. After throwing Immortal over his shoulder, Darkwing II drops from above only for Nogogglesible to grab him by the heel and slam him onto the ground, breaking his leg in the process. Enraged by his teammate getting injured, The Immortal flies in and pummels Lensless, calling him a pale imitation of Invincible. However, Nogogglesible laughs off the blows and then proceeds to punch Immortal down. Lensless effortlessly kills two of Dupli-Kate's clones before wrestling with The Immortal, revealing that the Omni-Man in his world has killed many of the heroes and that Shapesmith was not even present there. Nogogglesible proceeds to mock Shapesmith before getting punched by The Immortal. Enraged, Lensless coldly tells The Immortal that he "ruined the moment" before defeating The Immortal. Nogogglesible uses his foot to decapitate The Immortal before throwing his head to kill a Dupli-Kate clone, leaving it rolling next to an injured Dupli-Kate. Lensless groans out that he always ended his fights too quick which results in no torture, no screaming, no fun. Luckily, Darkwing II jumps in, sacrificing himself by dragging Nogogglesible into the Shadow-Verse, both never to be seen again.
Debbie stayed at Paul's home for safety and monitoring for news updates. This allowed Debbie to avoid a confrontation with Movincihawk who came to her home in an attempt to murder her. Movincihawk pretended to be the mainstream Invincible and exclaimed that he was hurt when he arrived, begging his "mom" for help. However, Debbie had already left by then which made Movincihawk disappointed at the fact that he could not kill her again which is was looking forward to doing. He then dropped his act and left the house, crashing through its roof.
William and Rick were seen running across the burning inferno, the campus of Upstate University having been burnt down by Stripevincible. A large piece of rubble nearly falls on William though luckily for him, Rick's enhanced strength from his cybernetic body saves him.
Shapesmith awakens to the surprise of Black Samson, having survived because his core remained intact.
In the Teen Team Base, Gogglesvincible has defeated Rex Splode and Monster Girl, destroying through Robot's drones. Gogglesvincible soon finds Robot's human body, surprised by his appearance. Before he can finish Robot off, Bulletproof came in and attacks Retro. In retaliation, Gogglesvincible pummels Bulletproof. While Gogglesvincible and Bulletproof are fighting, Rudy rolls across the floor, only to find Amanda breathing but unconscious. Rex wakes up but finds himself bleeding from an open wound he has gotten earlier. Rudy urges Rex that they need to leave and get Amanda out of here just as Bulletproof was sent crashing backfirst by Gogglesvincible. Rex tells him that they are better off with someone who can fly before asking Bulletproof to get everyone out, assuring him that he got a plan. Bulletproof obediently flies Rudy and Amanda out, leaving Rex alone to face off the variant. Gogglesvincible snarkily remarks that this stupid to which Rex Splode replies that everything about this is stupid. Rex Splode attempts to fight Gogglesvincible only to get overpowered by the variant. Gogglesvincible holds Rex up by the neck, telling him that all this was pointless like his life, Gogglesvincible then threateningly tells Rex that he is going to pop his head off and skin the others alive. Rex began holding onto his wound as Gogglesvincible monologues over how he is dumber than the Rex Splode of his world but Rex reveals that he is the one who will take him with him. Rex then charges up his skeleton, performing a suicide bomb attack which killed Gogglesvincible at the price of his own life. Shrinking Rae, Bulletproof, and Rudy all witnesses this.
The devastation and overall effects of the Invincible War are felt all across the world:
- The Wolf-Man recovers from his fight with Viltrumincible, only to find himself standing in the midst of the destruction caused by the Invincible variant.
- The Hunk's torn apart corpse is left in a crater in the desert.
- G.D.A. medics attend to the injured Guardians in their HQ.
- Sportvincible was killed and his corpse is left pummeled in the ground as birds peck at it.
- Rick and William hide in the ruins of Upstate University.
- British Knight is killed and his corpse is left resting on a broken statue.
- Burly is seen hugging Shrapnel, crying as he mourns over his teammate.
- In the midst of all the destruction, Brit pulls out Donald who is alive but his body is badly damaged.
- The mainstream Invincible remains at the G.D.A. hospital with Atom Eve and refuses to leave her side while she recovers.
- Bulletproofible Invincible was killed by a bunch of ReAnimen with one snapping his neck.
- Movincihawk crashes through a skyscraper, causing it to collapse.
- Hairvincible was killed by Kid Omni-Man and Throwbolt, who are carrying an injured Bug-Eye away after a very difficult battle.
- Powerplex is seen standing over the charred remains of a variant, triumphant over enacting his revenge in a way.
- In the Earth's atmosphere, Tech Jacket is seen looking down on Earth after killing Mustachible in battle before flying back down.
Day III[]

Day 3.
Despite the deaths of Sportvincible, Mustachible, Hairvincible, Lightblueincible, Capvincible, Hoodvincible, Bulletproofible, Gogglesvincible, and Flaxancible, the remaining variants including the likes of Capevincible, Viltrumincible, Movincihawk, Nomaskible, Stripevincible, Prisonincible, Omnivincible, and Maskvincible float over the destroyed cities before being summoned by Angstrom Levy to meet over the Grayson's house to move on to Phase 2 of his plan
The remaining eight variants meet over their old house with Omnivincible expressing out that he hates coming back to this house. However, Maskvincible disagrees, telling him that not all of them has killed their Debbie and he actually liked it in the house only for Movincihawk to angrily and impatiently groans out over what's taking Angstrom so long to which as if on cue, Angstrom arrives, saying he likes to make an entrance. Angstrom Levy proceeds to praise the variants, telling that they not only destroyed Invincible's world but also destroyed him and that the attack would make the world think of the war when they remember his name. Angstrom then orders them to bring the mainstream Invincible to him so that he can pay him back face to face, only for Capevincible and the other variants refusing to do so, with Capevincible telling him his plan has resulted in the Alternate Invincibles losing most of their members. Movincihawk snarkily replies to Capevincible that he does not care and that those variants were killed because they were weak and that he would have murdered them himself anyway. Stripevincible then comes in, telling Angstrom that they had a deal with him on helping them expand their empire to other dimensions. Maskvincible notes that his deal was different as Angstrom promised him that he would find him a Debbie to which Movincihawk obnoxiously makes fun of him for missing his "mommy" and pretends to cry. Maskvincible retorts and exclaims that they are all the same person and he cannot be the only one. The variant shares glances and Nomaskible even admits he misses the William of his dimension. But Capevincible does not care, telling them that all of this would be pointless if they are all dead. He and the other variants face Angstrom with Capevincible threatening him to give them their dimensions they want otherwise they would all kill him. Movincihawk tells him that if they kill Angstrom Levy, they would be stuck in the main universe, instead suggesting to torture Angstrom to which all the other variants agreed. But before any of the Alternate Invincibles could kill him, Angstrom Levy opens his portals, startling them long enough for him to summon his drones and push them through. He sends them into the desolate, wasteland dimension he trapped the mainstream Invincible in before. Angstrom Levy expresses out his disappointment, though he is not surprised that the Alternate Invincibles would betray him, he did not expect they would do it so soon.
Angered at being sent to the wasteland dimension, Capevincible screams out that Angstrom is dead only for Movincihawk to annoyingly tell him that he cannot hear him where the are.
It was then when Cecil teleported the Mainline Invincible to confront Angstrom, where Angstrom uses his drones to attack Invincible, sharing that he has surgeons ready to treat him in case Invincible is too much for him to handle. Invincible and Angstrom Levy continues their fight where Invincible dodges the portals which impresses Angstrom who continues to attack him with his drones. As Angstom Levy sends hordes of drones to push Invincible into a portal, he assures him that he will bring him back after he destroyed everything he loves. That angered Invincible to overpower the drones, closing in onto Angstrom Levy just as the portal opening villain's drones began to slowly deplete in numbers. Invincible then grabs Angstom Levy as Kid Omni-Man arrives, telling his brother to kill Angstrom Levy before he escapes, to make him pay for the lives he has destroyed. But before Invincible can do so, Angstrom Levy has one more drone that struck Invincible in the head, distracting him long enough for him to open a portal. Invincible reaches out, grabbing Angstrom by the arm but the portal closes, slicing off his arm. Oliver goes to his brother, expressing out how gross it is to see Invincible holding onto Angstrom's arm.
Angstrom goes up to his Technicians, his plan failed, he orders them to fix his wound so that he can bring all the Invincibles back and finish this. However, the Technicians refuses to respond, leaving Angstrom angrily lashing out at how their names reflects them as cold heartless monsters, even questioning on are they gonna let him bleed to death. The Technicians refuses to treat Angstrom Levy, approaching him. Angstrom tries to flee but the technology on his head emits a painful vibration, causing him to drop on his knees as the Technicians tells him that he made promises to them that he failed to deliver as his world has no value to them. The Technicians then tells Angstrom that he works for them now. The Technicians tells Angstrom that if he agrees, they will eventually treat his wound but if he refuses, his body would benefit their research. This mark the end of the Invincible War.
Aftermath[]
Invincible and Kid-Omni-Man then fly to city and motionless as the horrors the Evil Invincible have caused.
By the end of the war, major cities were reduced into ruins with buildings and homes destroyed across the entire globe with Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Paris, Moscow, London, Tokyo, New Delhi, Seoul and Sydney having been leveled. Hundreds upon thousands of lives were lost or worst in the event while the military were forced to transport many of the survivors to various locations.
Many heroes were killed and injured. British Knight, Rex Splode, the Hunk and Shrapnel being among the heroes killed in battle. Atom Eve, Dupli-Kate, Immortal, Shapesmith, Black Samson, Monster Girl and Business Baby being injured in their fights against the Invincible variants. Darkwing II was declared missing in action as he trapped himself along with an evil Invincible variant in the Shadow-Verse. Immortal and Dupli-Kate, feeling life has become too short for them and no longer capable of fighting new more powerful threats, decided they should get married and settle down while declaring their retirement from hero work.
The battle left Invincible feeling immensely guilty over how Angstrom's survival and deep hatred for him was the root to him bringing in the evil variants. Powerplex blamed Invincible for what had happened and others show unease around Invincible. Feeling sad, angry, guilty and frustrated, Invincible returned to visit Eve before meeting up with Cecil and Guardians of the Globe. Cecil offers to make Invincible the new leader of the Guardians of the Globe, but he adamantly refuses as he still does not fully trust Cecil.
Taking part in the clean up of the city, Invincible's small reprieve would not last as Conquest arrives, here to check on Invincible's progress on conquering the planet Earth. Having virtually hit rock bottom, Invincible feels the excitement to punch something as hard as he can, which results in the beginning of his fight with Conquest.
After the fight with Conquest, heroes from the war partook in Rex Splode's funeral, one of the few major super heroes who took down an evil Invincible. In the memory of his friend, Robot, Rudolph Conners, decided to change his name to Rex Conners, to honor and continue the memory of Rex Splode.

Trivia[]
- This is the third global event to take place in Invincible, the formers being Chicago's Destruction and the Flaxan Invasions. Based on the results of this event, it far exceeded the formers's number of fatalities and overall devastation.
- Invincible (the Heroic Version) discovers Angstrom alive well once more, and fights him again.
- This event may cause negative changes in Mark Grayson's lifestyle as a superhero and possibly result in the loss of those who view him as a hero.
- In the comics, this was a huge Image Comics crossover event. However, in the series, they mostly used show-original characters like what happened with Doc Seismic's seige in the S3 premiere.
- Multiple characters whom appeared in the comics during this event (including Savage Dragon, Battle Girl, Capes Inc, Cyberforce, Spawn, Firebreather, the Yellow Blue Grid and Black Knee Pad Invincible variants) did not appear in the show.
- However, thanks to proper rights, Brit, Wolf-Man, Tech Jacket and Capes Inc. did appear.
- One of the cities mentioned having been destroyed is Moscow. It is currently unknown if Olga, who went back to Russia after the Omni-Man incident, got out alive.
- According to the show's timeline, this event takes place sometime in late 2024.
- The name of the event is derived from the title of the comic issue in which it occurs. The term "Invincible War" is never used in the show.
