Isotope is a minor antagonist in Invincible, debuting from Season 1 and onwards. He was Machine Head's top lieutenant before becoming Titan's right-hand man.
Appearance[]
Isotope is a Caucasian male with green hair tied back and a goatee. He wears a black shirt with a white "I" logo representing his name along with a violet business suit.
Personality[]
Isotope has shown loyalty to those who gain his respect, which is why he aligned with Titan instead of his previous employer, Machine Head, assisting the former in seizing control of Machine Head's criminal empire. Although he lacked formal education, he understood how to navigate the criminal underworld and consistently did his utmost to survive, particularly when confronted by The Order.
History[]
Background[]
He was a normal human being until he was involved in an accident which gave him superhuman powers, which led him into a life of crime. Isotope worked for Machine Head, helping him achieve his various goals. It is mentioned that he ended up being shot with a gun while doing a job for Machine Head and whines about it long enough to annoy his boss. Isotope works for Machine Head and teleports him wherever he needs to be, including The Popsicle Palace.
Alliance with Titan[]
When Titan enlisted Invincible to defeat Machine Head, Isotope called upon Battle Beast, Kursk, Magmaniac, Furnace, and Tether Tyrant to protect his employer. He remained on the sidelines and positioned himself behind Machine Head to observe the fight. After Battle Beast completed finishing Monster Girl, Black Samson, and Invincible, Machine Head informed Isotope that they had to go, but Isotope was missing, indicating that he had already slipped away during the battle while his boss was distracted.
Later that evening, Isotope teleported back to the ruined penthouse, unveiling that he had truly been collaborating with Titan and had betrayed his previous employer. He assisted Titan in seizing Machine Head’s penthouse and role as mob boss to establish a more secure, improved city and offer a better home for his daughter and wife.
Shortly after the Destruction of Chicago, Isotope appears behind Titan as his new boss, who is engaged in a meeting with Mister Liu and his bodyguard.
Threat of Mister Liu[]
When Mister Liu and The Order started posing a risk to him and Titan, Isotope advocated for a strategic approach and agreed to Mister Liu's request to release Multi-Paul from his confinement at Payton Penitentiary. Subsequently, upon discovering that Liu encountered Fiona, Titan and Isotope opted to collaborate with Machine Head to eliminate Liu definitively. In the end, the strategy worked since Liu was reportedly killed, and Machine Head assumed control of The Order according to their arrangement, while he and Titan maintained their governance of Chicago.
