Background
Early Life
Many millennia ago, during the Thragg era, Lucan was born on the planet Viltrum. From a very young age, Lucan was indoctrinated in the Viltrumites' social darwinistic and supremacist beliefs. Eventually, he joined his race in their universal expansion goals, and while ranked among the lowest of the Viltrumites, he still proved himself to be quite formidable. After performing well in countless missions, Lucan was officially made one of General Kregg's most trusted subordinates. Like many of his kind, Lucan held great reverence for "The Great Nolan, " as he became one of the greatest and most successful Viltrumites to ever live. Furthermore, he came to fear Conquest, the rabid, bloodthirsty veteran warrior who became the second most powerful Viltrumite in history.
The Scourge Virus
During the Scourge Virus, Lucan was one of its rare survivors. While he endured because of his exceptionally robust immune system, Lucan and the other remaining survivors became weaker for a brief time.
Hunt for Nolan
Interrogating Allen

In 2023, upon learning from their mole inside the Coalition of Planets, that Nolan had abandoned his post on Earth and that he sired a hybrid heir, Lucan, along with Thula and Vidor, traveled to Talescria, where they tracked down the Unopan Coalition soldier Allen to a restaurant spaceship orbiting the planet. The three attempted to extract more information regarding Nolan from him, but instead Allen vexingly refused, resulting in his nigh-fatal beatdown and hospitalization. The three Viltrumites left to continue their search for the deserter.
Battle of Thraxa

Lucan greets Invincible with a simple ultimatum.
A few weeks later, Lucan, along with Thula and Vidor, finally learned of Nolan's whereabouts and traveled to Thraxa, decimating the planet. After massacring countless civilians, by himself, Lucan went to search for Nolan's son and found him in a cave system called the "Caves of Roclain." He greeted the young hybrid with a simple ultimatum, to prove himself worthy of joining the Empire by fighting well against him or else he would die.

Lucan is "killed" by Nolan.
Before the battle could begin, he learned that Nolan had another son with a Thraxan named Andressa. Invincible attacked him and gave Andressa and his young half-brother a chance to escape. Due to Invincible holding back his true strength, Lucan almost kills him until Nolan arrives to save him. Vexing the deserter for having dishonored his people, the two of them battled one another, which led to Nolan impaling Lucan to a wall with a pike, presumably killing him.

Lucan breaks Nolan's back.
After Nolan and Mark had seemingly killed Thula and Vidor, they believed they had won, though splattered with blood. However, Lucan was still alive, holding his own intestines; he hurriedly flew in and broke Nolan's back, mocking the latter about the importance of ensuring your enemy is dead. He then contacted his "superior" that their mission was complete before falling unconscious. When Invincible woke up, he saw Lucan, hospitalized and placed on a stretcher by his comrades, being transported to their warship, most likely to be sent to their capital world, Viltrum.
