The Reunion on Thraxa (more notably called the Battle of Thraxa) is a space crucial event in Invincible that happens on a alien planet called Thraxa, where Invincible is summoned by a disowned Nolan Grayson to assist Nuolzot's people in saving them from certain destruction.
The Message[]
Mark is in college, enjoying new life with his friends, until Nuolzot is in the form of Seance Dog, ringing the doorbell at Mark Grayson’s dorm room. He tries to convince Invincible that he is a from an alternate universe where dogs are wizards, but eventually reveals his Praying Mantis form as Invincible slams him to the ground in a forest.
Nuolzot recruits him for a mission, that being saving the Thraxans from asteroid attacks that are going to wipe out the race. Mark goes along and they fly to the planet in a space trip that takes 6 days.
Invincible calls Amber to tell him that he must leave for a short while, Amber is okay with this but does call Debbie in case.
Seeing that the planet is okay, Mark questions the real reason he is here. Nuolzot brings Mark to the Monarch, who is revealed to be Mark's father.
Revelation[]
Seeing his son, Nolan happily greeted him while the latter was shocked by the reunion. Invincible was frozen for moments, but then made a fist, and so did Nolan, but instead a hug was formed. Shocking Nolan, the two would trade barbs, with Mark leaving Thraxa, but Nolan chased after him, and was given a few minutes to explain his purpose, showing him his new wife, Andressa and their child, who is his younger half brother who says: "You gotta be f*cking kidding me", in a very defensive but justified tone.
Once more the two argued, claiming that Nolan replaced him, but instead of other Humans or Viltrumites or Mere Bugs, Nolan tries to save face and also admits he is now a fugitive of Viltrum because he left Earth and now they believe they know of his current whereabouts and they could kill his younger brother. He also admits he cannot return to Earth, Nolan tells Mark he must help him defend Thraxa from Viltrumite threats. Mark berates Nolan for signing up the Thraxans death and a ultimatum upon him. He asks how can help especially since it took everything to stop Nolan, Nolan recommends more training.

Thraxa is under attack!
Suddenly a trio of Viltrumites arrive and Mark takes Andressa and Oliver to the Caves of Roclaim. Where the two talk about Nolan, Andressa apologizes and claims that she never meant to be replacement for Debbie, and also claimed she too felt "head over heels" towards Nolan, but Andressa assures Mark that Nolan did care for him after Chicago. Mark also notices his brother and tries to hold his hand but rumbles emerge from the caves.
Lucan's ultimatum to Invincible.
Lucan, the first viltrumite that Mark faces who isn't his father, and he appears to be more tougher than looked, pinning Mark to ground with one finger, Nolan arrives and saves Mark, Andressa and Oliver from Lucan who is impaled to a wall, Mark also saves Andressa from getting killed by a pillar, Nolan tells Andressa to take her and Oliver deeper into the caves into all is resolved.
Fight like a Viltrumite[]
Thula charges at Invincible.
Quickly the two arrived to the palace, and noticed corpses of Thraxa and Nolan grabs Mark by throat feeling remorseful over their deaths and claims why he felt like this, while Mark still thinks it is not right to not feel something over their deaths, he tells Nolan it is exactly how he should've felt on earth. Vidor, and Thula arrive and all four of them fight, but Mark is unsuccessful in defeating Thula, to which Nolan demands Mark to stop holding back or else, his brother, Andressa and all of the survivors of Thraxa will perish.
Mark's rage returns in full force and almost defeats Thula, but still being merciful, allows Thula to find an opening, and impales Mark. Nolan tramples Vidor demanding if he regrets attacking his family now, Mark shouts for Nolan, as Thula is about to kill him, Nolan rams into Thula and shatters her lower jaw. All seems victorious, until Lucan from before survives and attacks Nolan from behind. All are seemly out cold, much later viltrumite grunts are seen transporting Nolan.
General Kregg "recruits" Invincible into preparing Earth for Viltrumite rule.
In quite possibly his last moments with seeing or speaking to his son Mark again, he urges him not to forget the deeds, and acts he made, and his books, he demands for Mark to read his books. Later, General Kregg mentions to Mark, that Nolan is being transported to an unknown location and is to be prepared for execution for his betrayal. Mark is then told to return to earth and takes his father place as the newly appointed agent of earth, and must kill a few humans to make sure he is truly worthy of Viltrum, or they'll arrive to murder millions as punishment for seeing the planet not ready for takeover. Kregg leaves but not before he admits that the empire will check on his progress soon, and unlike his father they won't change their minds.
Moving Forward[]
Left in the ruins of the battlefield by the Viltrumites, Mark is then found by Thraxans. He is taken to the palace right away where he finds more Thraxans, dead or wounded, and then comes across Andressa and offers sympathy and his faults for coming to Thraxa. Andressa offers no such apology but merely things that are meant to happen. Months later, a healed Mark is seen rebuilding Thraxa and comes a very old Nuozlot, who tells him his transport is ready, but Mark declines saying he would want to help rebuild Thraxa more, Andressa arrives to Mark that he must leave with his brother. At first Mark declines, but Andressa tells him he must because their species are quick rapid aging species, and by the time his brother grows up his world will be different, telling Mark that she would keep him if Nolan was still on Thraxa. Mark hopes that Nolan is still alive for Andressa sake, but then Andressa acknowledges that Nolan will return to him. Mark agrees and decides to take his brother back to Earth.
Trivia[]
- Mark and Nolan's reunion goes very differently in the comics with Mark actually forgiving Nolan instantly. It was also in their conversation where Nolan reveals that his name is pronounced "Nowl-Ahn" on Viltrium but his Grayson name was adopted when he created his secret identity on Earth. Mark was also more open with Oliver in the comics than he was in the show
- Lucan's meeting with Mark was different as when he encountered Oliver and Andressa, Lucan was shocked rather disgusted which gave Mark a chance to hit him hard enough to distract him just so that Mark can bring Andressa and Oliver to safety. Lucan recovers while chiding himself for letting himself get distraction with being the reason why his fellow Viltrumites considering him weak
- In the comics, Thula was not present in the battle while in the show, she and a show original Viltrumite called Vidor replaced a couple of nameless male Viltrumites in confronting Omni-Man and Invincible. The fight goes more or less the same way with Invincible getting severely injured while Omni-Man succeeded in defeating the two Viltrumites though he ends up getting his back broken by an injured Lucan.
