Rudolph "Rex" Conners, better known as Robot, is a variant of the main Robot from an alternate universe who became the leader of the Guardians with Atom Eve, Kid Thor, Bulletproof, Monster Girl, and Knockout. He was a minor character in the season 2.
History[]
Backstory[]
Robot's origins are similar to his mainline counterpart up to the point where Invincible first fought Angstrom Levy.
The Mark in his reality had disappeared during the fight with Angstrom, and he and the rest of the Guardians go searching for him, the alternate Robot hypothesized that Mark had killed Angstrom and got trapped in a different dimension, the alternate guardians then spend the next 30 years searching for where Mark was trapped.
Saving Mark[]
An alternate variant of the Guardians of the Globe appear when Mark is trapped in the Wasteland Universe, after he killed Angstrom. The alternate Robot explains to Mark how they arrived, he explains that they could not tell him much because it would disrupt the timeline, and then Robot and the rest of the alternate guardians send Mark home after Atom Eve says her goodbyes.

The alternate Robot appears as an older version of Rudy, now appearing like the original Rex, in a suit of Robot's armor.

- Robokinesis: The original Rudy remotely operated robotic drones while at a safe long distance. Rudy's clone had been outfitted with a neurolink device, designed by the original Rudy, in order to grant him the same ability.
- Robots: Rudy had a vast array Robot drones with a wide range of utilities and uses. He incorporated a large number of weapons and tools inside his Robot drones. Other notable inventions include a truck that could transform into a giant robot, a pod that kept his original self alive, and after the creation of his clone, a suit that looked exactly like and seemingly possessed all the abilities of his original drones.

- This is the second alternate version of Robot seen in the show.
- This Robot variant is called Rex instead of Rudy. This can be explained by Rudy taking Rex's name in honor of his sacrifice in the Invincible War.
