Trivia
- This season, according to Robert Kirkman, is considered to be far more maturer and darker compared to the previous seasons.
- Powerplex's tragic past and present.
- The Viltrumite's dark secret of near extinction.
- Mark and Oliver's ideals of being super heroes and treating life differently clash throughout the season.
- The Immortal of Dropkick and Fightmaster's future, becoming erratic and unstable due to his longevity, and wanting nothing more than death.
- Cecil's origins and his viewpoint of how to save the world.
- Rex Splode's origin explains why he obtained his powers and was subjected to the government.
- The countless casualties across the globe from the invasion from Invincible variants and the following arrival of the Viltrumite daredevil warrior, Conquest.
- Season 3 was teased similar to Season 2, with Invincible speaking to another character (previously Allen the Alien, now Cecil Stedman) in Burger Mart about his upcoming plans. The teaser contains multiple meta references:
- The compilation of behind the scenes footage is very similar to Season 2's teaser, although this time is interrupted by Cecil, who alludes to Allen as a "pickle-hating one-eyed rube".
- Cecil references a "four month vacation in the middle of things", referencing the highly controversial mid-season break in Season 2, sarcastically quipping that everyone "sure loved that". This is referenced again when the release date is shown, explicitly stating there is no mid-season break.
- Cecil points out how Mark's punctuality can be improved while pointing to a calendar with the year 2023 on it, which was when the first half of Season 2 was released, most likely being another reference to the release date.
- The release date reveal takes place in the White Room and is initially hidden. Cecil also mentions that the GDA are supposed to be top secret and "learn from their mistakes". This is a reference to leaks that showed the release date slide.
- Rex Splode and Shrinking Rae have an original show-only relationship.
- The first episode is set nearly 3 months after the previous season finale.
- This season marks the final appearance of Rex Splode's arc.
- Damian Darkblood returns in the season finale to set up a never before adapted storyline for the next season.
- Invincible and Atom Eve finally settle the knot and become a full fledge couple.
- This season also reintroduces Multi-Paul, a former inmate of the GDA of the previous seasons, along with exploring his and Kate origins.
- This season also introduces more characters of different Image Comic titles that were considered to be "off limits"[2], see Seance Dog for more.
- Invincible is given a new suit, which according to Robert Kirkman is portrayed as his "dark arc".[3]
