Trivia[]
- In the CCXP convention, Robert Kirkman has mentioned that production along with story writing of season 4 has begun, though it is currently unknown when exactly the target release date of the season will debut.[2] Though it has been confirmed that it will be released in 2026.
- This season will adapt the famous storyline in 2010 called the Viltrumite War, the final climactic event between the Coalition of Planets and the Viltrum Empire.
- The first episode is most likely set a few days or weeks after the previous season finale.
- This season will introduce two major antagonists: Dinosaurus and Thragg.
- After the last episode of Season 3, Invincible, Mark will embark on this season, to a new journey to slay his enemies all the while, still trying to make sure the Earth still sees him as the good guy.
- It's very likely that most of the episodes in this season will be set in outer space.
- Nolan and Debbie will possibly reunite by this point.
- According to a Twitter article and Robert Kirkman himself, Thragg is officially confirmed to appear this season. He is regarded as the most ruthless Viltrumite and is also significantly stronger than Nolan, Anissa, and Conquest.
- The first half of the season may focus on preparing for the Viltrumite War, whereas the latter half centers on the conflict itself.
- In the early episodes, it'll very likely depict Nolan and Allen's adventures, as they prepare for the final battle against the Empire.
- Alongside more members of the Coalition including the possible returns of Tech Jacket, Space Racer and Rognarrs.
- This season will finally showcase how the Viltrumite population greatly diminished, not long after they began their expansion.
- Atom Eve could potentially become pregnant in the season's first half, but she chooses not to inform Mark since he is leaving for the war.
- The Flaxans have not appeared since the Season 1 Finale (excluding Flaxancible) and could potentially make a return this season.
- The Sequid's invasion of Earth will probably commence in the first episode of this season.
- Following the last season the Guardians are no longer led by The Immortal, alongside three of the original members of season 1 are dead and retired.
- New heroes introduced in episode 3x7 will most likely become members of the Guardians
- It's highly probable that in Season 4, as a result of the Invincible War and Conquest's invasion from the last season, the Global Defense Agency will begin constructing a moon base; to oversee the orbital bases.
- Season 4 may adapt parts the Guardians of the Globe spin-off series.
- El Chupacabra might have a storyline which originally appeared in the spin-off.
- Set might be introduced as a major antagonist in a new The Order related storyline.
- Season 4 will reintroduce Damien Darkblood and adapt a storyline featuring him that wasn't included in the comics.
- Season 4 will probably showcase more of Shrinking Rae in a new original storyline, as she begins to find a new purpose aside from being a superhero.[3]
