The Sequids Attack is a crucial event in Invincible, that leads to several of the guardian major powerhouses leaving Earth to stop the invading alien threats from entering Earth due to Shapesmith's actions.
Learning[]
An infected astronaut was previously left behind on mars, he causes havoc on Mars and takes over their ship and decides to go to earth.
On Earth, Cecil learns from Donald and several other agents of a gigantic ship heading towards earth, the Guardians of the Globe find out that Shapesmith is a Martian (except Black Samson until the last minute). Shapesmith tells them news that the sequids could have infected a left behind astronaut. Cecil sends The Immortal, Black Samson, Monster Girl, Rudy and has them get Invincible. Rex also finds Eve, consoles her about the mistakes she’s made recently and convinces her to rejoin the Guardians. She goes with the rest of them as the remaining Guardians (Rex, Rae and Kate) stay to defend against any domestic threats.
Gearing up[]
The guardians head to space in a space shuttle, along with Invincible and Atom Eve who agree to help. Upon entering space, the Immortal forces Shapesmith to reveal any other information about the Martians and sequids. As he does, the Martian ship learns their location and opens fire!
Getting Barings[]
Eve is able to create a shield just in time, the flier members press all effort into placing the bubble into the heart of the ship and are able to a moment to get their Barings. They come across more Martians, then Bulletproof accidentally smashes a sequid and causes the whole family to show up along with the Infected Rus Livingston who recognizes Invincible.
The Guardians and Invincible attempt to stop as many as they can, but they are endless, Robot channels a sonic disruption that weakens Rus for a short while. This heeds Rudy to come up with a solution, where he creates a improved disrupted machine to stop Rus for good, Atom Eve has to only keep the barrier for 5 minutes, this is proven to be difficult as the sequids in unison force Eve the shatter the barrier!
Soon after Eve's shield shatters, the guardians attempt to delay the sequids, Robot and Eve are saved by Shapesmith, Robot is able to build an emp, but he and Eve are discretely infected by the sequids. The Immortal quick grabs it, but is stopped by Invincible, claiming he is faster and stronger and more capable, Immortal agrees and helps takes down the mind controlled Rus Livingston. However Robot and Eve discretely controlled by the sequids but saved once more by the emp device. The guardians quickly take Rus Livingston away from the sequids and try to escape, but are confronted by the Martian Emperor and Martian guards, who thank Invincible and the Guardians for saving them from the sequids and want Shapesmith to be excuted. They escape, but Invincible goes into space, ramming into the martian spaceships, returning back to the stolen ship, is greeted by Eve, and shakes hands with Immortal, Monster Girl asks if Robot is alright, he admits he was very unable to free himself from sequid control but now feels like he do anything and especially going back to helping Monster Girl with her transformation, but she ignores him.
Aftermath[]
The Guardians crash the martian ship in the Global Defense Agency and arrive to recover, Rus is brought into extensive care still unable to comperhend his situation, meanwhile the others notice the Immortal in dark morgue room, staring a bloody cloth of Dupli-Kate. Mark notices Eve stare at doctors fixing Rex Splode, another room shows Shrinking Rae under extensive care as well.

Much later a funeral ensues, where Immortal places his hand on the casket of Dupli-Kate, he tells everyone how much Kate meant to him. After the funeral, Black Sampson meets up with the Immortal, shedding a tear and asking why her death weighted on him so much as there was many others like her.
Rus Livingston returns home and cleans up his apartment, berating Shapesmith for not only leaving him on mars, but also wrecking his home. He begins retch upon seeing old chinese food, and throws up in his sink and notices emerge from the liquid. The Sequid from the spaceship, from mars once again attaches itself to him!
