Appearance[]

This Invincible has a jacket as part of his outfit, slightly different details for the suit, lighter colours, and no mask. Instead of a mask, this Invincible has glasses that, unlike the regular Invincible's outfit, have a nose bridge.

This Invincible also has his fingers and toes exposed.

Personality[]

Much of Sportvincible's personality remains unknown, except for the fact that he became a supervillain in his dimension. He appeared to have no qualms with the death and destruction he caused during the Invincible War.

Sportvincible causes chaos.

Not much is known about this Invincible except that, like his other counterparts, he became a supervillain in his reality.

In a flashback from this Invincible's dimension, Angstrom experiences an event where Sportvincible took pleasure in destroying the city and civilians. When he did, the destruction killed many people, including Angstrom's spouse.

Invincible War[]

Sportvincible was one of the variants recruited by Angstrom Levy to attack the mainstream dimension, starting the world-shattering event known as the Invincible War.

Sportvincible arrived in the mainstream universe through Angstrom's portal alongside the other variants, and immediately proceeded to destroy everything in sight.

Sportvincible would somehow get killed off screen. His bloody, mangled corpse is seen somewhere pummeled in a meadow setting with several crows pecking at it.

Legacy[]

Sportvincible's role in the Invincible War had tremendous repercussions on the mainstream dimensions. Entire cities and countries were reduced to rubble while numerous lives were lost.

Powers & Abilities[]

  • Hybrid Viltrumite Physiology: Sportvincible possesses all the powers of his main timeline counterpart. He is a Human-Viltrumite hybrid, though his Viltrumite genes overshadow his Human genes, making him almost a pure-blooded Viltrumite.
    • Decelerated Aging: Sportvincible possesses an exceptionally prolonged lifespan due to his biology, which causes him to age increasingly slower over time. This decelerated aging allows him to maintain peak health, physical conditioning, and combat performance far beyond the natural limits of most beings.
    • Dominant Genes: Viltrumites genetics are incredibly potent and adaptive. Sportvincible, like others of his kind, can reproduce with a wide range of species, with his Viltrumite DNA overwhelmingly asserting itself in the offspring. As a result, the child will typically inherit predominantly Viltrumite traits, often appearing and functioning almost entirely as a Viltrumite. The more genetically compatible the mate’s species is, the faster and more reliably the offspring will manifest the full range of standard Viltrumite abilities.
    • Flight: Due to a complex balancing system located in his inner ears, Sportvincible possesses the ability to levitate and propel himself through the air at will, capable of reaching extreme speeds. He can effortlessly alter his trajectory mid-flight, allowing for sharp turns, sudden stops, and precise aerial maneuvering. His control enables seamless navigation through a wide range of environments.
    • Superhuman Strength: Sportvincible possesses incredible physical strength, easily capable of lifting and pressing several tons.
    • Nigh-Invulnerability: Sportvincible possesses extraordinary durability, making his body incredibly resilient to a vast array of attacks. He can endure nearly any assault without sustaining significant damage, including explosions, bullets, and powerful energy-based assaults. His physical resilience allows him to endure harsh environments, even surviving in the vacuum of space without issue. In his reality, he was seen crashing into cities and killing civilians without sustaining any harm. However, during the Invincible War, despite his impressive durability, Sportvincible met his end off-screen.
    • Superhuman Speed: Sportvincible can move at incredible velocities, easily traversing the globe in mere minutes. His heightened reaction time gives him a tactical advantage in most high-speed combat situations. In a flashback from his reality, he was shown effortlessly flying into cities at high speed. However, compared to other Invincible variants, Sportvincible is considered one of the slower counterparts, though still far beyond human capabilities.
    • Reactive Adaptation: Sportvincible exhibits remarkable resilience and adaptability, displaying a propensity for continual growth and improvement throughout his lifespan. His physical strength, speed, and durability progressively augment in correlation with the level of adversity he faces or the severity of injuries he recovers from. Moreover, his combat experience fosters an innate ability to assimilate knowledge and insights from past encounters, enabling him to refine his tactics and enhance his efficiency in subsequent engagements.
    • Regenerative Healing Factor: Sportvincible possesses an incredible healing factor, allowing his body to recover from injuries in mere minutes or, at most, within a few days. His regenerative abilities enable him to heal broken bones, torn muscles, damaged organs, and even regrow lost body parts without any lasting effects. This healing ability is highly dependent on the severity of the injury. Additionally, Sportvincible is virtually immune to most illnesses and contaminants, making him highly resistant to various environmental and biological threats. However, despite his remarkable healing abilities, his regeneration couldn’t save him from the fate that befell him during the Invincible War. His death remains a mystery, as it happened off-screen, with no further explanation of the cause.
    • Superhuman Lung Capacity: Sportvincible possesses extraordinary lung capacity, allowing him to survive without air for extended periods. This ability enables him to operate unhindered in oxygen-deprived environments, such as the vacuum of space without protection.
    • Superhuman Senses: Sportvincible possesses extraordinary sensory abilities, far exceeding human limitations. His auditory perception allows him to hear sounds from great distances with incredible clarity, enabling him to detect even the faintest noises and selectively ignore irrelevant ones. His vision is equally advanced, providing him with the ability to see distant objects with the same sharpness and detail as though they were right in front of him. Additionally, his heightened equilibrium and balance grant him exceptional poise and stability, allowing him to maintain control and coordination in even the most difficult situations.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Sportvincible can sustain physical exertion for prolonged periods of time without showing any signs of exhaustion. He can likewise endure some of the most grievous of injuries that would instantly kill a human, excluding too much harm to his heart or brain. He can go for several weeks without sleep or sustenance unhindered.

Trivia[]

  • This specific variant of Invincible is often called "CW Invincible" by fans in reference to the suit design seen in The CW's Arrowverse franchise (and the way he talks in the comics).
    • This specific variant is also memed because of his exposed toes, being called names such as "Gripper Mark"[1] by fans.
  • This is the 4th evil Invincible to appear in the series.
  • Sportvincible appears in a S3 leak.
  • Due to the fact that he died off-screen from an unknown hero, there is a funny assumption that he simply died from landing in the universe of the main Invincible. People explain this by saying that in the Sportvincible's universe, the ground is supposedly much softer, which is explained by the fact that Sportvincible not only walks with exposed toes, but can also crash into the ground in his universe, causing a shock wave, as was shown in s2e8. Thus, according to this headcanon, the ground in the universe of the main Invincible is supposedly harder, which ultimately led to the fact that Sportvincible died from landing in the main Invincible's universe and in fact no one killed him (obviously, such a funny assumption should not be taken as something serious or even true).

    Sportvincible in the comics.

He appeared in the Tech Jacket comics where Hairvincible and he battle Tech Jacket, but the duo were killed by a fiery explosion caused by the Tech Jacket armour overloading.
  • Of all the Invincibles, he has the most different and distinctive design from the original source. Because of this, there are even suggestions that he and his comic counterpart are different Invincibles, which led to people calling the Sportvincible's comic counterpart "Yellow Grid Invincible" (or "Yellowblueincible"). In reality, this is just a redesign, and such Invincibles as Stripevincible also differ from their comic designs.
  • The crows around his corpse are a reference to the Image Comics anti-hero Spawn. Sportvincible may have been killed off-screen by Spawn.
    • In the comics, Spawn appeared fighting Viltrumincible. Spawn was replaced with Wolf-Man in the comics due to issues with rights. This doesn't rule out his existence in-universe.
