Personality[]

Openly declaring himself a shell of his former self, The Immortal pushed humanity to rebel against him by he began committing various cruel acts, even killing women and children, in hopes of someone being able to kill him. His desperation for death even made him delusional, failing to realize that the Invincible from the past was not the one who made him king. He also forgot who his wife, Dupli-Kate, was when the two of them get married back then.

However, with the last bit of sanity left in him, he planned for his demise, allowing the Earth to regain its independence and programming his robot army to help carry it out.

History[]

Background Information[]

His backstory is the same as his main counterpart, but some point in the future, before leaving Earth with his family, Mark Grayson appointed the Immortal as the king of Earth. While the Immortal did not see himself up to the task, Mark insisted that he was the only person that he could trust to do it.

The Immortal ruled as a fair and just king for many centuries, but he eventually became resentful towards the role. Watching everyone he loved age and die wore down on him, and he slowly began to go mad. In a desperate attempt to force Mark to return to Earth and relieve him of his role, The Immortal turned the Earth into a police state, waging senseless wars and creating an army of robotic soldiers to enforce his rule. Outsides of attending Family Member's execution, people were only allowed to move between their homes and work camps. Dissenters were jailed and executed. The Immortal eventually wiped 10 cities off the map for questioning him, leading to the revolution to form.

Meeting Mark[]

When Mark is transported the future and presented to him, The Immortal reveals his desire for Mark to relieve him of his role by killing him, however, Mark refuses, leading to the Immortal fighting him and attempting to kill Dropkick, forcing Mark's hand, grabs The Immortal's head, beheaded him and finally ending his reign. After his death, The Immortal's robotic army announce that the power has been returned to the people.

Powers & Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Enhanced Physiology: The future version of Immortal possesses all the powers of his past self. His body was enhanced well-beyond normal human limits, able to perform various superpowered feats. Overall, his capacities are equal to the general might of a Viltrumite.
    • Immortality: As the name suggests, The Immortal is able to live indefinitely, having existed for several millennia. He likewise is ageless, remaining unchanged in all that time to retain a health, vitality, conditioning, and physical appearance of a man in his prime. He is able to endure injuries, including being gorged impaled and disemboweled, that would otherwise kill other people.
      • Regeneration: The Immortal is able to mend injuries, even restore lost anatomy, in short periods of time. Alternatively, any limbs removed can be quickly reattached and regain full mobility when put in place.
      • Resurrection: While able to clinically be killed if sufficiently damaged enough, from experiences like decapitation or bifurcation, his body does not decay. From this, if enough of his anatomy is reconnected, he will resume healing and eventually resuscitate himself.
    • Flight: Immortal can levitate himself and move about freely as he pleases throughout the sky or even space.
    • Superhuman Durability: The Immortal possesses an extraordinary physical resilience and durability that far surpasses that of an average human. His body is built to withstand and endure powerful attacks from superhuman adversaries that would cause significant harm or even prove fatal to regular individuals. However, even with his impressive defenses, someone of immense strength like Omni-Man is capable of delivering a devastating blow, such as punching Immortal through the chest with full force.
    • Superhuman Speed: The Immortal has tremendous speed and reflexes, able to move at Mach 3.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Immortal tires less easily than normal humans.
    • Superhuman Strength: Immortal is far stronger than any normal human.

Abilities[]

  • Leadership: Through the ages, the Immortal has learnt to be an efficient leader. Before going insane, he was said to have ruled over the Earth well.
  • Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: The Immortal has mastered different styles of hand-to-hand combat throughout the centuries of his long life.

Weaknesses[]

  • Dismemberment: If Immortal is torn apart severely enough, he enters an inert state and his healing factor will be indefinitely stalled, requiring outside intervention to recover. If his head is completely destroyed, then he would be permanently killed off.
  • Psychological Trauma/PTSD: While normally a composed individual of sound mind, due to the sheer length of time he has been alive on Earth, he has had multiple bouts of psychosis. His time as emperor over the Earth and the pressure it presented, plus the sheer length of time he had been alive before then, caused the Immortal to go completely insane and desire nothing but death.
