Powers and Abilities

Powers

  • Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Thula is an advanced being with extremely potent and well-developed genetics. From this, she eventually manifested a wide array of abilities common among the race, each of which will only steadily continue growing more powerful as she ages.
    • Decelerated Aging: Thula possesses an extraordinarily lifespan. This stems from her body gradually aging slower the longer she lives. From this, it allows her to retain her health, vitality, conditioning, performance, and youthful appearance that much longer. Despite being eons old, she remains a robust individual.
    • Dominant Genes: Viltrumite genes are extremely adaptive and powerful. As a Viltrumite, Thula's genetics are so potent, she can reproduce with almost any other race and her genetics will almost completely overshadow the inherit genetics of the mate, making said offspring almost purely Viltrumite themselves. Likewise, the more naturally compatible the genetics are to the mate's race, the sooner and more likely the offspring will inherit all the standard Viltrumite abilities.
    • Flight: Thula can levitate herself in the air and propel herself in any direction her desires, able to alter her trajectory mid-flight, letting her maneuver seamlessly through various environments. She is also able to fly through space.
    • Nigh-Invulnerability: Thula's body is incredibly resilient, allowing her to withstand a wide range of attacks without sustaining any significant harm. She is unfazed by virtually any environment, or lack thereof. She can walk away unscathed from explosions, bullets, and even powerful energy-based assaults.
    • Reactive Adaptation: Thula has a propensity for continual growth and improvement throughout her lifespan. Her physical strength, speed, and durability progressively augment in correlation with the level of adversity she faces or the severity of injuries she recovers from. Moreover, her combat experience fosters an innate ability to assimilate knowledge and insights from past encounters, enabling her to gradually refine her tactics and enhance her efficiency in subsequent engagements.
    • Enhanced Healing Factor: Thula's body can recover from injuries in a day, if not mere minutes. She can restore broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs; she can even regrow lost anatomy with no lingering signs. This varies based on the severity of the injury. Likewise, she is virtually immune to almost all forms of illness and contamination.
    • Superhuman Lung Capacity: Thula possesses the remarkable physiological ability to hold her breath for extended periods of time, spanning several weeks. This allows her to endure the harshness of space unprotected and make interstellar travel.
    • Superhuman Senses: Thula possesses an exceptional auditory perception surpassing human capabilities, allowing her to discern sounds emanating from considerable distances and selectively drown out specific noises. Her vision is equally advanced, able to discern distant objects with the same clarity as though they were in close proximity. Likewise, this grants her an equally powerful equilibrium and balance, able to maintain her stability and poise even in challenging situations.
    • Superhuman Speed: Thula can move at tremendous speed, able to travel anywhere in the world in mere minutes if not seconds. Her reflexes and reaction time likewise operate at similar speeds. She is much faster than light and capable of crossing intergalactic distances in mere weeks.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Thula can sustain physical exertion for prolonged periods of time without showing any signs of exhaustion. She can likewise endure some of the most grievous of injuries that would instantly kill a human, excluding too much harm to her heart or brain. She can go for several weeks without sleep or sustenance unhindered.

Abilities

  • Master Combatant: Thula is a trained warrior who relies on her millennia of experience; her survival of the Great Purge is proof enough of how skillful a warrior she is. Throughout her battles, she's noted to take her time with her prey by torturing them to death using her Blade Braid.
  • Master Manipulator: To be added...

Equipment

  • Blade Braid: Unlike most Viltrumites, Thula's hair possesses a blade tied to the end, which she uses like a dagger or a whip. It can be utilized for both long-or-short-range attacks to wound, torture, or kill an opponent.

Weaknesses

  • Excessively High Frequency: High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Viltrumites. It disturbs their balance, restricts their flying capability, induces severe pain, and could potentially lead to their death. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
  • Extreme Force: Even though Viltrumites rank among the universe's mightiest, they are not entirely invincible. Viltrumites are vulnerable to entities with comparable or superior strength.
  • Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus targets Viltrumites by compromising their immune systems, deactivating their strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.

Trivia

  • Thula is based off of Ursa from the DC Comics and Medusa from the Marvel Comics.
  • Her depiction in the cartoon somewhat contradicts her comic depiction. In it, although still quite old, she displays no wrinkles, her hair still has full coloring, and is lean yet well-muscled.
  • Thula's signature weapon is her braided hair, like the scene in episode 8, and episode 4 of season 2, it acts more like a lasso, spear and sword.
  • A character in the DC Animated Universe had a similar attack style to Thula, where she'd use her hair as weapon, but more like a whip.
  • Since she was active during the time of the Great Purge, Thula is older than Nolan, as the latter was born after the purge was complete and her recent appearances in season 2, showed that Thula looks older.
    • As she retains approximately the same appearance during the Great Purge as she does in the present, she is likely around the same age as Conquest, making her one of the oldest Viltrumites alive.
