History



Background[]

At some point in his life, Titan would meet a woman by the name of Vanessa and marry her, they would eventually have a daughter together who they named Fiona. Titan would gain abilities that would turn his exterior into a rock-like structure. Struggling with fixing his financial debt, he used his abilities to provide for his family in an unethical way. His path as a criminal made him become a notorious super-villain and eventually work for the crime boss known as Machine Head.

Run-In with Invincible[]

Captain Googles stops Titan and some crooks.

A bunch of agents with briefcases are running away from gunshots along with Titan, when being seen by the agents they inform him that he's not supposed to be following them so they could get away. Titan responds angrily by explaining that they hired as a bodyguard. After escaping from the gunfire, he then runs into a new hero who proceeds to beat him up. In the end, the new hero knocks him out, destroying his rock-like skin structure in the process. He is left knocked out in the middle of the street when Omni-Man shows up, telling the new hero that they look ridiculous.

Overthrowing Machine Head[]

Titan confronts two men who are smoking outside and bursts into their operations, killing the henchmen as they try to fight him in vain. Titan pins the leader on a forklift and removes it after the fighting ceases, telling him to warn Mister Liu that if he caught wind of their operations on his turf again, he wouldn't be so gentle before snapping his neck. He then turns his attention to a thug pointing a sawed-off shotgun to his face, warning him to leave. The thug blasts him in the face out of fear. He quickly reforms the rock surrounding his face before telling the thug to leave, before looking down and realizes that his pants were shredded in the firefight.

Titan stands outside a building lit on fire, enhancing the flames by throwing gasoline inside. He is confronted by one of the residents, demanding answers. Titan approaches and offers cash for compensation, and tells him where he could go until he got a new place. Atop a skyscraper, Titan holds Gary and threatens death if he doesn't pay his debt to an anonymous creditor. Gary offer his wallet and Titan accepts, sparing him upon seeing a photo of Gary and his daughter. He would later break into a lab where he gets a chip for his boss. As security confronted him, Titan told them that their company hired them on minimum wage and that their lives weren't worth losing over the chip. He told them to shoot towards the air if they wanted to live, and they remorsefully complied as he walked out.

Machine Head tells Titan to come back

Machine Head tells Titan that he would only ever serve to break heads.

When he reaches his boss, Machine Head and hands him the chip, which he put in his head. Titan declares his debt is paid and he is done working for him, but his boss refuses, telling him that he was too useful to lose and incapable of living a normal life. The boss threatens Titan, saying he works for him until he said so. Titan angrily breaks the boss's desk, which the latter mentions proved his point.

Titan enters his apartment and hands his daughter a dessert. His wife asks him if he was out and is disappointed to see he still worked for his boss. From there terrace, his daughter spots Invincible carrying the Elephant. He tells her that people says Invincible is good and tries to be a good person himself.

Invincible races through the sky and goes to a rooftop, where he meets Titan. Invincible remembers him and calls him a criminal, but Titan tells him that he does not even know the meaning of the word. He tells him he only needed a little money and asked him to help him take down his boss, who ran the city. Invincible tells him he only does big-picture things, but is convinced to see what happens in the real world.

Titan talks to Invincible

Titan talked to Invincible when he tried getting him to help with Machine Head.

Titan shows Invincible who Machine Head is and explains what he does. Titan tells him that if he helps him take Machine Head down, he would help real people. When Invincible asks why he had accepted money in the first place, he tells him that it had not been for him.

Titan tells Mark about Machine Head's security, but Mark is not convinced since Isotope, Machine Head's tele transporter could make him disappear, but Titan mentions he took care of Isotope. They agree that once Machine Head was taken down, he could be taken to the GDA. Mark asks Titan about his daughter and how I'm sorry is told that Fiona's second home was Beckwell Community Center.

Titan and Invincible break into Machine Head's building, but when Invincible confronts him, he does not move. Machine Head reveals he knew they would come thanks to the new chip Titan had gotten him. Isotope also reveals himself, which surprises Invincible. Machine Head accepts he is out of his league, but mentions it is a good thing he has money, so he could afford many supervillains, which Isotope teleported into the room.

Invincible and Titan fight the supervillains, but are overwhelmed as Omni-Man watches from a distance. Invincible is electrocuted while Titan is burned. After a sudden burst of energy, Invincible tells them they would die and swiftly incapacitates two of them before having his head shoved into the ground by Battle Beast.

Becoming a Crime Boss[]

After an intense battle and the arrival of the Guardians of the Globe, Robot holds Monster Girl after seeing she was badly injured. Machine Head describes the events as strange and asks Isotope to get him out of there, but finds he does not respond and is hit by Rex. Mark awakens and Titan apologizes to him that he did not mean for things to turn out the way they did before leaving. Later that night, Isotope teleports himself into Machine Head's office and congratulates his real boss, Titan on what he had done. Titan tells him that he had told Invincible the truth - he would make the city better and greeted his family. Titan and Isotope are later seen in the office having a meeting with Mister Liu and his bodyguard.

Turf War[]

A year after overthrowing Machine Head, Titan visited him in Payton Penitentiary, as Mister Liu's threats were proving to be too much for him to handle. Machine Head initially reveled in his agony, but agreed to help Titan remove the crime lord and take over The Order in exchange for keeping Chicago and his business for himself. They were then attacked by Mister Liu, who had sought to free Multi-Paul from the facility. Machine Head killed Liu's human form and subsequently took over the Order. Feeling uniquely generous, he agreed to uphold their deal. He complimented Titan on his coup, but warned him not to do it again or his family would pay the price.
