Upstate University is a university in Invincible.
History[]
Background[]
This university was founded at an unknown period of time.
Reign of the ReAnimen[]
In early 2023, Mark Grayson, along with his best friend William Clockwell and his girlfriend Amber Bennett, visited the university, where they discovered a student named D.A. Sinclair was kidnapping humans and turning them into ReAnimen for the purpose of "fixing" humanity. Mark, as Invincible, stopped him from doing any more damage, especially to William's boyfriend, Rick Sheridan, while Sinclair was arrested and taken in by the Global Defense Agency.
For those who did not survive the damage caused by Sinclair to the people he kidnapped, the university honored the victims in the square.
Freshmen Year[]
In late 2023, Mark Grayson, William Clockwell, and Amber Bennett attended the university. Not long afterward, Reginald Vel Johnson High School's principal, B.N. Winslow, moved upstate and became its new dean.
The G.D.A. soon managed to help Rick physically recover from his experience with Sinclair, allowing him to come out of treatment and attend college. During their date, Mark and Amber explored the university campus before finally choosing a restaurant. Regrettably, their outing was disrupted by the arrival of the Viltrumite soldier, Anissa. She warned Mark that she would kill Amber and everyone in the restaurant, if Mark didn't go with her privately, leading to the conclusion of their date and relationship.
Not long after, Mark dropped out following his first altercation with Angstrom Levy, realizing it to be a complete waste of time given his superhero duties, and instead wanted to work on his self-discipline.
Three months later, Eve Wilkins enrolled at the university for part-time classes in the Architecture program to enhance her building construction skills, guaranteeing that no collateral damage would happen again.
Invincible War[]
In early 2024, the university was burned down by Stripevincible.
