Personality

Vidor was depicted as a merciless Viltrumite and a devoted soldier to the Empire. He showed minimal to no respect for those he considers inferior to Viltrumites, as evidenced by his disdainful comments about the Thraxans, asserting that they perish rapidly upon encounter. He showed a bit of pride when encountering Nolan, praising his response to Invincible and Lucan after seeing blood on his arm. In the one-on-one confrontation with Nolan, it was clear that he was more skilled at talking than fighting, as shown in the Battle of Thraxa, where he even mocked Nolan for his concern for the Thraxans and Invincible, which led to his death at the hands of Nolan.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

  • Viltrumite Physiology: As a Viltrumite, Vidor is an advanced being with extremely potent and well-developed genetics. From this, he eventually manifested a wide array of abilities common among the race, each of which will only steadily continue growing more powerful as he ages.
    • Decelerated Aging: Vidor possesses an extraordinarily lifespan. This stems from his body gradually aging slower the longer he lives. From this, it allows him to retain his health, vitality, conditioning, performance, and youthful appearance that much longer. Despite being several millennia old, he remains a robust individual.
    • Dominant Genes: Vidor's genetics are so potent, he can reproduce with almost any other race and his genetics will almost completely overshadow the inherit genetics of the mate, making said offspring almost purely Viltrumite themselves. Likewise, the more naturally compatible the genetics are to the mate's race, the sooner and more likely the offspring will inherit all the standard Viltrumite abilities.
    • Flight: Vidor can levitate himself in the air and propel himself in any direction he desires, able to alter his trajectory mid-flight, letting him maneuver seamlessly through various environments. He is also able to fly through space.
    • Nigh-Invulnerability: Vidor's body is incredibly resilient, allowing him to withstand a wide range of attacks without sustaining any significant harm. He can walk away unscathed from explosions, bullets, and even powerful energy-based assaults.
    • Reactive Adaptation: Vidor has a propensity for continual growth and improvement throughout his lifespan. His physical strength, speed, and durability progressively augment in correlation with the level of adversity he faces or the severity of injuries he recovers from. Moreover, his combat experience fosters an innate ability to assimilate knowledge and insights from past encounters, enabling him to gradually refine him tactics and enhance him efficiency in subsequent engagements.
    • Enhanced Healing Factor: Vidor's body can recover from injuries in a day, if not mere minutes. He can restore broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs; he can even regrow lost anatomy with no lingering signs. This varies based on the severity of the injury. Likewise, he is virtually immune to almost all forms of illness and contamination.
    • Superhuman Lung Capacity: Vidor possesses the remarkable physiological ability to sustain his breath for extended periods of time, spanning several weeks. This allows him to endure the harshness of space unprotected and make interstellar travel.
    • Superhuman Senses: Vidor possesses an exceptional auditory perception surpassing human capabilities, allowing him to discern sounds emanating from considerable distances and selectively drown out specific noises. His vision is equally advanced, able to discern distant objects with the same clarity as though they were in close proximity. Likewise, this grants him an equally powerful equilibrium and balance, able to maintain his stability and poise even in challenging situations.
    • Superhuman Speed: Vidor can move at tremendous speed, able to travel anywhere in the world in mere minutes if not seconds. He is much faster than light and capable of crossing intergalactic distances in mere weeks.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Vidor can sustain physical exertion for prolonged periods of time without showing any signs of exhaustion. He can likewise endure some of the most grievous of injuries that would instantly kill a human. He can also go for weeks without any sleep or sustenance unhindered.
    • Superhuman Strength: Vidor's strength extends to the ability to lift and press several tons, making him a powerhouse in combat situations. This strength allows him to go toe-to-toe with formidable foes.

Abilities

  • Master Combatant: Vidor is a trained warrior who relies on his millennia of experience, making him skilled and formidable in hand-to-hand combat, as demonstrated by his battles with Nolan on Thraxa.

Weaknesses

  • Excessively High Frequency: High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Viltrumites. It disturbs their balance, restricts their flying capability, induces severe pain, and could potentially lead to their death. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
  • Extreme Force: Even though Viltrumites rank among the universe's mightiest, they are not entirely invincible. Viltrumites are vulnerable to entities with comparable or superior strength.
  • Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus targets Viltrumites by compromising their immune systems, deactivating their strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.
  • Talkative: As noted by Nolan, Vidor's habit of talking while battling is a highlighted weakness, as it distracts him from focusing entirely in the heat of battle.
