Viltrum is the home planet of Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man and his people, the Viltrumites, and is the capital of the Viltrum Empire.
Appearance
Viltrum is similar to other terrestrial planets, such as Earth. Its cities have architecture possessing a highly advanced "sci-fi" style, appearing centuries if not millennia beyond Earth's current technological capabilities.
History
Background
Millennia ago, the Viltrumites engaged in a bloody civil war known as the Great Purge, to rid their planet of anyone they deemed "weak", following the death of Emperor Argall. After the war, the Viltrumite population was half of its previous size, but those who survived were molded into a race of powerful and unstoppable warriors.
To expand their empire, the remaining Viltrumites launched a crusade, conquering numerous planets such as Unopa. However, these armada-style campaigns stopped after their forces were spread too thin. They eventually decided on a new way to conquer worlds: several of the most trusted Viltrumite officers, including Nolan, were sent to infiltrate various planets in order to weaken and conquer them from the inside.

Trivia
- Viltrum is a play on words of the body part philtrum, the upper lip. This is a reference to all male Viltrumites having mustaches, which is an important part of their culture in the comics.
- Viltrum resembles and is similar to the planet Krypton in the DC Comics.
- Unlike Earth and other fragile planets, Viltrum's climate has long been repaired.
