Viltrumite(s) are a highly advanced alien race of extremely powerful humanoids native to the planet Viltrum and the titular/dominant race of the galactic Viltrum Empire. Seeking to expand their galactic empire by conquering other planets and ruling the entire universe, they are known and feared across the galaxy as a merciless, militaristic people endowed with frightening superpowers and uniquely advanced technology.
Culture
Might Makes Right

The Viltrumite Council unanimously agree to expand their newly reborn empire.
Not much is known about Viltrumite culture, but their defining characteristic is their social Darwinistic and supremacist beliefs. They represent a pack-oriented mindset and the principle of the survival of the fittest, focusing solely on the shared glory of their empire and disregarding anyone who perishes as simply showcasing their lack of value. They embody a collective mentality and the triumph of the fittest, focused exclusively on the achievements of their empire while overlooking those who fall as a display of their ineptitude. While Viltrumites typically look down on other alien races, they don't embrace petty prejudice such as colorism, given how many different skin-colored Viltrumites are treated equally and judged solely by their strength. Given their brutal history, they believe only those with exceptional strength are worthy of living and will not hesitate to subjugate planets or species or outright annihilate them if they consider them weak. They are willing to offer a subjugated species various benefits: advanced medical technology and an end to domestic conflicts (wars and famine), all in exchange for absolute, unwavering loyalty to their new alien rulers; otherwise, the price of resistance is total destruction and extinction. From birth, a Viltrumite only values strength, honor, and glory. They survive by growing stronger, live by their own code of honor, and thrive on glorious victories.
Dominant Hierarchy
Since the establishment of the Empire, Viltrumites have been governed by Emperor Argall and his most trusted advisors, the Viltrumite Council. During his reign, the Empire began to prioritize wisdom over simple physical strength; as a result, Viltrum entered a unique utopian era that endured for several centuries. Yet, this did not prevent him from being a staunch advocate of social Darwinism; Argall was as insightful as he was malicious toward those he considered weak.
As the strongest, Thragg instills loyalty through intimidation and superior power.
Following Argall's assassination and the absence of his heirs, the Council had to appoint the most powerful among them to the freshly established position of 'Grand Regent' to lead and safeguard the Empire until the legitimate heir of the late monarch was located. Under the rule of Grand Regent Thragg, Argall's firm belief in wisdom was dismissed; rather, the Empire adopted the pure view that, fundamentally, raw strength should be the primary concern for a Viltrumite, as Thragg strongly contended that strength alone defined the ultimate hierarchy.
Intimate Subjugation
For Viltrumites, love represents emotional frailty; they think it hinders them from reaching their fullest potential in strength and pride. Consequently, both genders of the species regard their partners merely as convenient means of amusement for reproduction and as obstacles to gauge their growing strength. They select their partners solely after being attracted to their remarkable strength and well-established achievements.
While allowed to breed with some alien species, Viltrumites typically choose to mate within their own kind, considering other races inadequate for maintaining their pure genetics. However, following the Scourge Virus, this option turned into a highly urgent alternative; thus, Earth emerged as a most vital primary target in the Empire's expansion, due to its mostly genetically akin population.
Parental Duties

Nolan instructs his eldest son, Mark, on how to battle like a Viltrumite.
From birth, Viltrumites discipline their children to be unquestionably obedient, as it is unnatural for a Viltrumite offspring to defy their parent. There seems to be no genuine parental love; if a Viltrumite offspring is killed, their parent would aloofly acknowledge that the late offspring was unworthy of life due to their weaknesses. However, if their offspring is proven to be formidable, the closest thing to parental affection stems from both pride and respect, as if they were more like colleagues than parent and child. One Viltrumite, Nolan, displayed this parenting approach towards his first hybrid son, Mark, in his early parental years.
Rules of Interbreeding

Invincible proves himself worthy by besting Thula in combat.
Given their prideful and supremacist nature, Viltrumites have very low tolerance for genetically imperfect Viltrumites; thus, they are only allowed to procreate with genetically similar species (such as Humans). This is the reason they allow hybrid Viltrumites the distinct opportunity to demonstrate their worthiness for joining the Viltrum Empire in battle. If they can best a pure-blooded Viltrumite, they will be assigned a planet to conquer for the Empire as a form of acceptance. If they fail in this test, they will be immediately eliminated on sight for their ineptitude.
Honor and Death

General Kregg offers Nolan a final chance at redemption.
Ever since the Great Purge concluded, along with the decimation caused by the Scourge Virus, it has become rare for a Viltrumite to kill one of their own. In this regard, the Council devised a proud, sacred tradition; in order for a Viltrumite to be executed, they must be at full strength so they may face their end with some form of honor. Therefore, if grievously injured, they would be hospitalized and later subjected to inspection tests to determine whether they have fully healed. As a rare form of genuine mercy, treacherous Viltrumites who have successfully served the Empire in the past are offered a final chance at redemption by fully reigniting their patriotic loyalties to their people and rejoining the Empire. The execution ceremony is held in private; the condemned prisoner is shackled to the ground while he or she is beaten to death by at least two assigned Viltrumite executioners.

Attire & Facial Custom
For countless generations, most Viltrumites have worn plain white uniforms, and some who are perhaps of a higher rank have the outfit's front area colored grey, with the Viltrumite logo, a linear three-by-three symbol shape, covering the circular logo. In the case of royalty or regency, the said ruler of the Viltrumites would wear garb similar to that of the average Viltrumite soldier. It is a form-fitting bodystocking, with a circular symbol broken up by three vertical lines in the center of the chest. The lower body is completely covered by a simple grey skirt, and they wear sturdy grey boots. The main difference in the garb is that while the average Viltrumite soldier's uniform consists of grey and white colors, the white portions of the ruler's have been replaced with a bright crimson.
In terms of facial appearance, male Viltrumites have traditionally sported mustaches, representing their cultural identity, their allegiance to Viltrum, and a form of eternal reverence for their first and most revered monarch. Furthermore, regarding hairstyle, female Viltrumites are depicted as having short hair or ponytails to emphasize their militaristic discipline.
Traditional Names
Viltrumites, as a whole, do not have a culture or belief system regarding their names, having only a first name and nothing more. Some, however, are named after concepts valued in their culture, such as Conquest.
Empathetic Yearning

Thaedus offers his condolences to Telia over Allen's critical condition.
Astonishingly, there are very rare cases of Viltrumites developing compassion and adoration for those they consider to be "lesser" beings. Thaedus, the first betrayer of the Viltrum Empire, realized the wickedness of his people's culture after witnessing Argall's merciless cruelty, which led to him to develop intense compassion for other races. This resulted in his betrayal and his dedication to ending the empire's reign of terror once and for all. His notable achievements include assassinating the first Emperor, Argall, forming the Coalition of Planets, the creation of the Scourge Virus and enhancing Allen of Unopa's power to rival that of a Viltrumite.
Another notable Viltrumite, Nolan, experienced genuine feelings of love for his human spouse and their hybrid son (and by extension, humanity) after spending two decades protecting Earth, although he tried to deny this. However, this aberration did not prevent him from killing anyone who got in his way, including those who would threaten his family. Eventually, he began to care for other life forms (like the Thraxans), whom he ruled over for a period. Following nearly a year of reflection, he finally decided to go against his people by joining the Coalition to aid in their efforts to end the Empire's reign of terror once and for all.
Generally, from the perspectives of numerous Viltrumites, Earth's unfathomable impact on Nolan and his hybrid heirs is deemed "poisonous" and must be eradicated before it disseminates across the Empire.

Freedom to Love

During his tenure on Earth, Nolan discovered true genuine love with his first human wife, Debbie.
Viltrumites are taught from an early age to view their mates as nothing more than simple entertainment for breeding or combat purposes. Yet, some Viltrumites can come to see their mate as more than a "pet." Nolan, one of the Empire's greatest warriors, came to Earth and found himself profoundly and genuinely in love with a human woman named Debbie. Initially, while in firm denial of having experienced true genuine emotions towards what could be considered a "lesser being," Nolan eventually found himself helpless to her affection as she taught him about love and compassion, to which he began to exemplify towards her in their decades-long marriage. A little while after departing Earth, while on Thraxa, Nolan also displayed similar affection for his second wife, Andressa, and was committed to keeping her, her people, and their son safe from invading forces.
Parental Affection

Thanks to Debbie, Nolan learns on how to become a loving nurturing parent to their son, Mark.
Due to being raised as warriors from birth, Viltrumites have no comprehension of what genuine parental love is like. It wasn't until Nolan came to Earth and started a family with his human wife, Debbie, that he slowly began to understand. During his early parental years, with his very stoic views, Nolan could only see his hybrid son Mark, as merely a future apprentice, and regarded all other, minor activities with him as an irritable distraction. Only through his wife Debbie, did he at long last learn about the value of appreciating one's time as a parent, by witnessing his child live his life as best he could, for it filled him with genuine pride and joy. Nolan would later share these newfound feelings with his second hybrid son, Oliver, whom he inadvertently conceived with his second wife, Andressa, during his very short tenure on Thraxa.
Liberal Interbreeding

While on Thraxa, Nolan tenderly protects his newborn son and his mother Andressa.
While Viltrumites are only permitted to procreate with genetically similar species, everything changed upon Nolan's arrival on Thraxa. Whilst on his short tenure as Emperor of the Thraxans, he unwittingly fell for a Thraxan named Andressa, and unintentionally conceived the first-ever Viltrumite-Thraxan hybrid offspring, who would later be named Oliver Grayson. Although it was never his intention to bear another child with a genetically imperfect being, he still embraced his child with love, and risked his life to protect him, his mother, and their delicate people. This highlights how much Nolan's time on Earth has truly changed him for the better.

Attire & Facial Shift
During his two-decade tenure on Earth, Nolan wore several attires to blend in with the populace as penman Nolan Grayson. Additionally, during his stay on Thraxa, as their Emperor, he wore Thraxan armor over his iconic "superhero" Omni-Man outfit. Meanwhile, his son Mark, during his two-month stay, wore Thraxan clothing.
Adopted Names
While Viltrumites don't have a last name, in order to acclimate to the people of Earth, Nolan created a new life and adopted the secret identity of a best-selling author named Nolan Grayson. In time, this surname was inherited by both of his sons, Mark and Oliver Grayson.
Powers and Abilities
- Viltrumite Physiology: Viltrumites are a species of exceptionally advanced individuals with remarkably powerful and sophisticated genetics, ranking them among the most powerful beings in the universe. Consequently, it is almost guaranteed that all Viltrumites will ultimately exhibit a diverse range of powers typical of the species. Furthermore, these various skills will steadily improve as they grow older, especially if they undergo a specialized training regimen.
- Decelerated Aging: Viltrumite lifespan is much different than most species. The older Viltrumites become, the slower they age. This allows them to have an incredibly long lifespan, able to live for thousands of years. As a result, they retain their health, vitality, conditioning, performance, and youthful appearance for much longer. Despite being several millennia old, they remain robust individuals as shown by Conquest, the aged Viltrumite who is still the second-strongest of his kind.
- Dominant Genes: Viltrumite genes are extremely adaptive and powerful. So potent, they can reproduce with almost any other race and their genetics will almost completely overshadow the inherit genetics of the non-Viltrumite mate, making said offspring almost purely Viltrumite themselves. Likewise, the more naturally compatible the genetics are to the mate's race, the sooner and more likely the offspring will inherit all the standard Viltrumite abilities. Humans, for example, are so genetically close to Viltrumites that a Human/Viltrumite hybrid is genetically nearly identical to a pure-blooded Viltrumite and will eventually become just as powerful.
- Flight: Viltrumites can levitate themselves in the air and propel themselves in any direction they desire, able to alter their trajectory mid-flight, letting them maneuver seamlessly through various environments. Additionally, they are also able to fly through space.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Viltrumite bodies are incredibly resilient, allowing them to withstand a wide range of attacks without sustaining any significant harm. They are unfazed by virtually any environment, or lack thereof. They can walk away unscathed from explosions, bullets, and even powerful energy-based assaults.
- Reactive Adaptation: Viltrumites have a propensity for continual growth and improvement throughout their lifespan. In addition to naturally growing more powerful the more the age, their physical strength, speed, and durability progressively augment in correlation with the level of adversity they face or the severity of injuries recovered from. Moreover, their combat experience fosters an innate ability to assimilate knowledge and insights from past encounters, enabling them to gradually refine their tactics and enhance their efficiency in subsequent engagements.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Viltrumite bodies can recover from injuries in a day, if not mere minutes. They can restore broken bones, torn muscles, and damaged organs; they can even regrow lost anatomy with no lingering signs. This varies based on the severity of the injury. Similarly, as stated by a G.D.A. scientist, Viltrumite cells possess immunity to every kind of disease and infection recognized by humanity.
- Superhuman Lung Capacity: Viltrumites possess the remarkable physiological ability to sustain their breath for extended periods of time, spanning several weeks. This allows them to endure the harshness of space unprotected and make interstellar travel.
- Superhuman Senses: Viltrumites possess an exceptional auditory perception surpassing human capabilities, allowing them to discern sounds emanating from considerable distances and selectively drown out specific noises. Their vision is equally advanced, able to discern distant objects with the same clarity as though they were in close proximity. Likewise, this grants an equally powerful equilibrium and balance, able to maintain stability and poise even in challenging situations.
- Superhuman Speed: Viltrumites can move at tremendous speeds, able to travel anywhere in the world in mere minutes if not seconds. Their reflexes and reaction time likewise operate at similar speeds. They are much faster than light and capable of crossing intergalactic distances in mere weeks. Certain Viltrumites, like Anissa, have been observed to be significantly quicker than their peers, with her speed greatly exceeding that of Nolan's.
- Superhuman Stamina: Viltrumites can sustain physical exertion for prolonged periods of time without showing any signs of exhaustion. They can likewise endure some of the most grievous of injuries that would instantly kill a human, excluding too much pain to the heart or brain. They can go for several weeks without sleep or sustenance unhindered.
- Superhuman Strength: A Viltrumite's strength extends to the ability to lift and press several tons, making them a powerhouse in combat situations. This strength allows them to go toe-to-toe with formidable foes. Using proper precision in conjunction with their strength, Viltrumites are easily able to behead, impale, or cut open targets with their bare hands.
Weaknesses
- Excessively High Frequency: High-frequency noise can have harmful effects on the ears of Viltrumites. It disturbs their balance, restricts their flying capability, induces severe pain, and could potentially lead to their death. The frequency's intensity dictates the degree of pain felt.
- Extreme Force: Even though Viltrumites rank among the universe's mightiest, they are not entirely invincible. Viltrumites are vulnerable to entities with comparable or superior strength.
- Scourge Virus: Developed from Viltrumite DNA, the virus targets Viltrumites by compromising their immune systems, deactivating their strength and invulnerability. The sole method of survival is by having a uniquely strong immune system and patiently waiting for the virus to run its course.
- Savage Gravity: As stated by Nolan, the gravity of Savage Planet causes Viltrumites to move much slower and have a harder time flying, having to depend on jetpacks.
- Psychological Instability/Disorders: Viltrumites, as a culture, are extremely stunted emotionally and spiritually. They focus solely on the pragmatic and logical through a very Darwinistic mindset. This, in turn, has given them almost a cult-like mentality toward their people, world, and the way of the Viltrumite. However, Nolan repeatedly hints that this is primarily the result of living for so long and witnessing countless others and civilizations fall into ruin; the weight of being practically immortal is, in fact, a serious psychological burden. Their cold and callous nature appears to be a coping mechanism, and the active effort to shun emotions and personal connections serves as a means to protect themselves from emotional pain and trauma. Tellingly, it's when Nolan begins to live on Earth among people similar to his own, who also exhibit a full range of emotions, along with finding a woman and having a son who truly love and value him, that he transforms from the cold, indifferent soldier he was into a genuine father and husband, gradually leading him to gain a true conscience and express remorse for his amoral actions.
